I visited today Tuesday 25th February 2025 for an MRI scan.
This was my 1st time having an MRI scan and i was really nervous.
i was introduced to Wendy and Craig who really did Put me at ease.
They explained exactly what was going to happen, and safeguards whilst i was in the Scanner if i felt uncomfortable, and wanted it to stop.
They even asked what music i would like to listen to whilst MRI being done,
Disco wasn,t probably the best as i had to keep perfectly still.
Once it had finished they checked i was ok and if i had any questions,
I Really couldn,t fault them.
.
Please forward my sincere thanks onto them .

I was very pleased to receive my appointment. The only problem was that I had to search for a working car park machine. I had to go to 2 reception areas within the hospital to find staff to direct me to one that worked. The 4th machine I went to. Luckily I could walk from one to another. Impossible for a disabled person.
Today within the cardiac pain clinic, everything was lovely, receptionist was polite kind and welcoming. The nurse was the same. Explained everything that she was going to do before she did it. Excellent care
All staff are caring, kind and considerate from the moment I walked in to reception, meeting the staff, nurses and Doctors. The hospital set up is very clean and hygienic. The care I received was 2nd to none. Absolutely amazing. I would fully recommend this hospital.
excellent care given to me by all the departments I attended.
All the staff I came into contact with were kind and caring.
The Surgical Day Case unit at the treatment centre were very supportive throughout my operation.
Over all I think that Queens Hospital Burton is an excellent hospital and I would recommend it to anyone.
I was given an 08.00 appointment (12/11/24) by the Orthopedic Department so I knew I had to be up early. I was to have pain relieving injection into my left hip. I've had them before and it takes 5 no-more than 10minutes, quite an easy procedure. There were no buses so I had to pay for a taxi. I arrived and at first everyone was pleasant. I saw the Orthopedic surgeon who said he wouldn't be long. Great I thought.
I had stripped off and put the theatre gowns on. I waited and waited and waited then at approximately 12.10 a staff nurse came and the morning male surgical list had been cancelled. She added further they had now started the female surgical list. I had about 10 hours of my life taken away by these people plus the money they robbed from me for taxi. I also endure Sleep Apnoea (I stop breathing) and was due to start on a CPAP machine but it would be pointless with the pain I have during the night. Disgusting behaviour from supposed 'Doctors and Nurses'.

After 10 months waiting for an oncology appointment still no answer.
When I was originally diagnosed I was told I had an aggressive form of prostrate cancer and would need radio therapy after 3 months of hormone treatment. after 6 months of hearing nothing i was told my notes had not been passed over and the waiting list was now 9 months. 10 months now still nobody has been bothered to contact me.
Appalling if this was in the private sector someone would be looking for a new job
Couldn’t ask for better care
I am speaking about the Breast Care Unit at Queens Hospital and I could not fault any of the treatment I received or the staff who gave it. They were all caring and helpful and answered all my questions fully.
