My treatment throughout was excellent and all staff were very caring.
I did feel uncomfortable when attending appointments as the wait was typically at least half an hour in an enclosed waiting area with many people not wearing masks. As I was receiving chemotherapy I had taken great care with social distancing and I felt vulnerable during the wait.

I have been treated at Queens Hospital in Burton Upon Trent for breast cancer twice. Each time, I have received the best care and been treated very well. I would highly recommend Queens, for this reason. The nurses on the Breast Care Unit are all amazing. They are kind helpful and compassionate, so why would you want to be anywhere else.

Through out my cancer treatment I was treated with compassion and professionalism by every member of NHS staff I meet. The team on the chemo ward were all amazing and made my whole experience much easier to cope with and I can’t thank them enough !!

I had day surgery in the treatment centre, the staff were amazing. Caring, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The staff in theatre were also second to none.

The Breast Care Unit were amazing with their care and understanding throughout the whole of my experience, from being called in for investigations after my first mammogram, my diagnosis and my post op appointment.
I had my mastectomy carried out as a day patient and the staff here were super too.
I did find working out where to go for my pre-op a bit tricky, but the staff were lovely when I got to right place.
Car parking was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I would find a space quickly, other times it took a long time.
Overall I felt well cared for.

The treatment centre service was excellent and provided five star service. The overnight ward was a little less organised and reassuring as I was in a ward on my own and the nurses were so busy and forgot to administer my intravenous antibiotics and a couple of other small incidents.

Burton Breast Care Unit are a very caring and friendly department. They explain everything in detail about your diagnosis and treatment and answer any questions honestly. Everybody from the consultants, radiologists and nurses are so friendly and listened to any worries that I had. I felt totally involved in my treatment at every step. Thank you to everyone at Burton Breast Care Unit for making a very worrying time so much easier for me.
