I had an appointment with Burton Breast Unit for the first time today. The team were amazing & extremely efficient. I was understandably anxious but was reassured every step of the way - mammogram, ultrasound, physical exam and review with consultant . There was hardly any waiting time & results were communicated quickly. I felt extremely safe during these challenging times with COVID & was treated with dignity at all times. Nothing but admiration for Burton Hospital right from the begining of my diagnosis through to my admittance to hospital and the treatment centre, first class throughout.
The cleanliness of the hospital and surrounding areas was very impressive and also the strict rules regarding Covid. Top class and would recomment to anyone.

After undergoing surgery in the treatment centre in October, I cannot fault the care and treatment I received. The whole team were truly fantastic.

I feel I’ve been well and truly looked after under my care at Queen’s hospital. The staff at the breast care unit are truly wonderful people. I feel well and truly cared for as a patient under their care.

I have had fantastic care from the Breast care unit in particular but also the staff in the treatment centre where i had surgery were excellent. I felt totally reassured and confident at every stage

The admin staff/receptionists, scanning and xray dept, nurses, on site ambulance/taxi driver, anaesthetists, surgeon, physios and any other people I have had contact with have treated me with consideration and a very professional and caring attitude. I cannot praise them highly enough.

I cannot thank Professor Carmichael enough for seeing me so promptly and arranging a mammogram and an ultrasound.
I have the pleasure of working with her at Queen's Hospital, Burton and I have never worked with such a caring, kind and helpful Consultant. Her professionalism and bedside manner is as always perfect. She is an absolute delight to know and work with.
During my consultation she made me feel totally at ease and relaxed and explained everything in great detail and was totally professional throughout, she really is a lovely lady and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing advice and support or indeed treatment for breast cancer or reconstruction.
To me Professor Carmichael (or Amtul as she is known to me) is just brilliant and I love working with her.

I was made to feel safe throughout all my treatment in particular throughout the covid 19! Pandemic.

the whole team were superb. Staff were so reassuring, calm and approachable. I was a little stressed at having to attend the breast clinic but from the very beginning, I was made to feel at ease.. Thankyou so much. You are all so lovely. Audrey Morgan
