I have just experienced the most difficult two months of my life. I found a small lump visited my GP, attended the Burton Day Clinic 10 days later, and after a biopsy confirmed cancer I was booked in for surgery at the Burton Treatment Centre on the 13.9.17.
There are three things you need in circumstances like this, professionalism, compassion, and clear information. I got all three from everyone I met at Burton Breast Cancer Unit and the Treatment Centre.
This has not been an easy experience and now I am waiting for radiotherapy, but the care and understanding I have experienced to date from Mrs Carmichael and her team at the Clinic and Treatment Centre has been exceptional. Thank you all.
