Mr.Winston Kim is a fantastic human being and brilliant surgeon without doubt. You need not look any further, this man is the Star of the show!He has not paid me to say this,i tell it how it really is. September 30 2015 he fitted me with a new type of hip,a self locking hip with Capture System! Basically its a hip that stays put if you stick to the rules!. You must do your exersizes afterwards if you can.The exact name for this hip is called a Constrained Trident Liner with Capture System.(i think that is right!) Anyway thank you so much Mr Kim for giving me a new lease of life.G-D Bless you. GARRY HOWARD END age 62

I am a 70 year old female who started road cycling 5 years ago. Whilst on a cycle tour in Albania I suffered a meniscal tear in my left knee which caused severe problems. Mr Kim performed an arthroscopy after an MRI scan showed the extent of the damage. I had some physiotherapy rehabilitation and 11 days after the operation was on another cycle tour in Croatia. Mr Kim has a very engaging attitude and was fully in favour of me carrying on my sport; although it was very difficult and pretty painful the 'tidy job' performed on my knee made it possible. 6 weeks after the operation I am now embarking on a cycle tour of Northern Vietnam, again fully endorsed by Mr Kim. Keeping fit, eating healthily and staying lean must improve a patient's chance of a successful outcome from Mr Kim's surgical skill. Thank You Mr Kim!

I am a 42 year old female and I have suffered from hip pain for approx 6 years. I like to keep myself active and play netball every week, enjoy walking with my dog and gardening but I was finding it harder and harder to do the things that I enjoy. I was diagnosed with labarum tear on both of my hip joints approx 4 years ago and was told to take Naproxen and try and put up with the discomfort for as long as I could, which i did. Over the last year the pain had become quite disabling to the point of where bending down or even just sitting for a short while was very uncomfortable, I was also concerned that I was taking Naproxen almost every day. My previous specialist had retired, so I decided to go and see Mr Kim who had been recommend to me by my doctor. I found Mr Kim to be very professional, friendly and caring he explained everything very clearly and I felt I could ask him anything that I wasn’t quite sure about. Mr Kim first recommended that I have steroid injection in my right hip to see if that helped which it did and was fantastic for approx 3 weeks, then it began to wear off. On returning to see Mr Kim he advised me to have a hip arthroscopy to try and repair the tear on my labarum as I had been suffering from this for so long. I was nervous about the operation but Mr Kim was very reassuring and explained everything to me. The operation was not as painful as I was expecting it to be and i just completely rested for the 1st week 10 days. Having to be non- weight bearing (on crutches for 4 weeks) did take some getting used and not being able to do my normal activities but everything that Mr Kim told to expect was exact and after just 4 months so far i am pain free and right back into my normal lifestyle. After the operation I have only been left with two very neat small scars at the top of my right thigh. I have not yet played netball but I am looking forward to starting back in the next few weeks. I am now even considering having the operation on my left hip. I would recommend Mr Winston Kim without hesitation and I am extremely grateful to him for all his help and expertise.

For the most part of the year 2011 ,I suffered constant chronic knee pain. On further investigation I was told I was in need of a total knee replacement. To say I was scared by the thought of undergoing this procedure would have been an understatement. A member of my family who had undergone this operation recommended I contact Mr Winston Kim. On meeting Mr Kim, I was instantly put at ease by his friendly, warm, comforting manner. He was totally honest and open, answering the many questions I put to him. I decided to go ahead with the surgery. On the day of the operation Mr Kim paid a visit before going to theatre which was reassuring. In the anti room he and all members of his team were on hand to explain the procedure ( I had opted to have an epidural) After the operation whilst in recovery he called to tell me all went well. He paid a further two visits whilst in hospital and also arranged physio on my discharge. I have since gone on to have a further knee replacement and a left hip replacement, all performed by Mr Kim. Two weeks ago I had my last follow up consultation, I was discharged with a successful outcome. Each procedure has offered relief from constant pain. I am now ,thankfully able to lead an almost pain free life. I would highly recommend anyone suffering with any of these problems, pay a visit to Mr Kim. He is a true professional with a warm, friendly, approachable nature. His communication skills are second to none. Thank You Mr Kim. Gladys Gerrard. Aged 77 years .
