Mr Dutta was kind enough to take me on as his patient at Woodthorpe Hospital when I learned that my designated surgeon would be unable to operate on my hernia for at least six weeks. He is an approachable and pleasant man with, as you can read, an excellent reputation. I am writing to thank Mr Dutta for operating on me at the end of a trying day ( for him and me ). Woodthorpe Hospital had, I understand, failed to book an anaesthetist which meant that Mr Dutta's operating schedule was pushed back two hours. He talked with me, clearly under pressure, about postponing my operation but, when he could see my disappointment, agreed to operate. The whole theatre experience was very professional I am home and, and the operation has, as far as I can tell, been a success. I am most grateful to Mr Dutta. Andrew Craig

After two failed hernia repair operations, by two different consultants, I was finally put in the hands of the expert that is, Mr Dutta. I have to admit I was getting worried that my stomach would never be the same again. Mr Dutta was very informative about what he would be doing and put me at ease. Whilst I was waiting for my operation he told me about a certain belt support to wear around my middle, how to gently push the hernia back in before fastening the belt. He also advised me to lose some weight. I know I’m a big man and we all know deep down that we should lose weight but don’t. I begun to think there might be light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve lost, and am continuing to lose weight. I’ve had my operation and all looks well. I can’t thank Mr Dutta enough for finally sorting my hernias out. I feel I can finally move on with my life after 3 wasted years. Thank you again for everything Mr Dutta.

I already knew of Mr Dutta's reputation as a surgeon from my daughter. I had had some problems with my gallbladder for some time and when I met him I was immediately put at ease. He was very sympathetic and informative and made me feel that I had regained some control over the situation. After the consultation the arrangements for my gallbladder removal were made very speedily and the operation was carried out very successfully by Mr Dutta and his team. The follow up and aftercare were second to none and I was very relieved to say the least. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Dutta's services to anyone, as his skills as a surgeon and his professionalism and empathy throughout could not have been improved upon and his manners were delightful at all times. I could not be more pleased with the result.

I was referred to Mr Dutta for an inguinal hernia which had eventually been diagnosed after a scan at the local hospital. In minutes he had diagnosed a second hernia. This was after I had been suffering pain for months which went undiagnosed even after two examinations. So Mr Dutta really knows his stuff and even demonstrated to me how I could feel the hernia myself. He explained the Laparoscopic Surgery that was required as well as the post-operative recovery. I was admitted to the Park hospital in February 22 and received excellent care from both Mr Dutta and the medical team. I have since recovered fully and would thoroughly recommend Mr Dutta in all aspects of his care.

I donated a kidney to my son and Mr Dutta performed the operation to remove my kidney. At all stages of the process leading up to the operation he took time to explain what the operation would mean mean for me and called me back to answer additional questions I had. His explanations struck the right balance between making sure I understood the risks involved, both short term and long term, as a living donor whilst putting those risks in perspective. In relation to the operation itself, all I can really say is that it was successful and that I have made a very fast recovery afterwards. As such, it was a great success. I am very happy recommending Mr Dutta.
