Sam Dutta is an excellent surgeon. My Kidneys was failing and I was down to 7% function, I underwent a kidney transplant - my father in law kindly donated a kidney to me, this has transformed my life. Both my father in law and myself are doing very well and all I can say is thank you Mr Dutta for a brilliant job. Such skill Such care Such great results! We as a close family are so very happy to have had the pleasure of Mr Dutta doing this wonderful life changing work for us. Any medical operation you require - if you can enlist Mr Dutta you will not go wrong. Excellent work. Excellent surgeon. Kind regards Mr Leonard HEFFORD

I had an umbilical hernia repaired by Sam Dutta in June 2024 at the Park Hospital and the whole experience was awesome! It's my first surgery under general anaesthetic and so I was understandably a little anxious. Sam has a very calm and reassuring bedside manner sprinkled with just the right measure of good humour. The wound has healed nicely and he performed a lovely clean incision with minimal scarring. I'd highly recommend Sam for anyone in need of hernia repair.

Hey everyone! In a nutshell, Dr Dutta is fantastic! On the 22nd May I had open surgery to repair an Umbilical Hernia that had been giving me hassle since it emerged in January. After being banded about by the NHS for months I was feeling pretty low trying to seek a solution, so I thought I'd try private, having never used it before, which is where I was introduced to Dr Dutta. What a brilliant choice that was, from the initial consultation, where I met the incredibly friendly, professional and humorous Dr Dutta. I was immediately put at ease and felt in safe hands, we spoke through what was going on with my body, as well as the solutions to it. It was all zero pressure and I felt well informed, respected and that my best interests were at the forefront of the conversation. So, naturally I booked myself in for the operation, an open mesh repair! On the day of my surgery I was met by a team of nurses, as well as the anesthetist and had a catch-up with Dr Dutta. When catching up he recalled conversations we'd had in the initial consultation, and patiently answered any question I had about the operation itself, as well as recovery. It was very relaxing, especially as I'd never had surgery before. The surgery went fantastically well, and in full credit to the Dr's care and attention, when performing the operation it was deemed that my hernia was small enough to not need a mesh, but sufficient sutures would be the best option, showing me that at every point in the process, even during the operation, Dr Dutta was doing what was best for me, the patient, thanks to his expertise and experience. Upon coming round a bit from the operation, Dr Dutta came to visit me, explained exactly how the operation went and the next steps. This was also relaxing and allowed me to recover from the anesthetic without any worries. We exchanged a handshake and a fist-bump and he went on his way to see another patient. I recovered swiftly, following Dr Dutta's dos and don'ts he provided me for recovery, and he let me know I could email him if I was worried about anything or had any questions. The scar I have is tidy and healing well, plus my abdominal area is flatter and already feeling stronger. I'm incredibly glad I made this choice and I feel so lucky that Dr Dutta was the specialist I saw, especially as someone so keen on fitness and the gym, I'm ready to resume my lifestyle again! You're not only in safe hands with Dr Dutta, but some of the best. A wonderful man and Doctor, thank you so much for looking after me and fixing my hernia! I was driven into private healthcare as a result of the inability of the NHS to provide timely treatment for my condition, a hernia in need of moderately urgent repair, and my consultant was Sam Dutta. He ticks all the boxes. He's approachable, good-humoured, and blessed with a skill that enabled him to do a really neat job with a minimum of fuss. I will be happy for him see to the other one if/when the time comes. Paul King

Nine days post operative nephrectomy on the NHS and I can say that his care and attention to detail are exemplary. As a retired GP's wife, I ask many questions and expect full, informative answers and explanations. This was done with great communication skills, empathy and reflected the humour I can use, being very comfortable with the operative details I expected. I imagine he talks with all patience in this way. The operations appears to have gone very well and he was pleased with my progress.
