Had hand surgery with Dr Odak for Dupuytrens Contracture. Found Dr Odak friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. The procedure he carried out on my hand was carried very well and swiftly. The end result is that i now have full use of my hand again. Can't thank him enough!

I was seen at The Lancaster Hospital, part of the Circle Health Group, although this survey won't allow me to put it in for some reason. I saw Mr Odak in regards to an operation to remove a ganglion from my wrist area after a consultation. I was fully informed of the procedure and admission by Mr Odak,and shortly after with explanatory leaflets through the post. On the date of my operation, I was met at reception as you would in a hotel and shown to a private room, clean and comfortable. All the staff were highly professional and introduced themselves, surgeon, anaesthetist, physio, nurses ,pharmacy, all while checking details were correct, and making sure I was comfortable. A lovely menu was brought for my perusal for after my operation. I was treated like royalty and to be honest, didn't want to leave! Everyone that saw my scar remarked how neat it was, and was back at work within 2 weeks. Follow up appointment with Mr Odak to check everything was healing as it should went well, and he was happy to answer any questions I had and in no hurry to get to the next patient, even though they had seen over 150 patients that day! I would certainly recommend this practice to anyone.

Mr Odak did a trapeziectomy on my right wrist in November and the difference it has made a massive difference to my life as I can now do things that haven’t been possible for about 2 years without pain.
I am booked in to have my left wrist operated on in the near future by Mr Odak and am very grateful for his time and skill helping me.

Mr Saurabh Odak is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with extensive experience in treating upper limb pathologies including shoulder, elbow and hand/wrist surgery. He completed his MBBS in 2002, and finished his specialist Registrar higher Orthopaedic training from the Mersey rotation. Mr Odak went on to do two fellowships from reputed and internationally acclaimed centres in the North-West of England, including the prestigious Wrightington Hospital, gaining further expertise in his field.
Mr Odak's clinical interests are focused on Upper limb surgery including hand/wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery. His routine clinical practice includes management of patients with conditions like Carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, trigger finger, arthritis of hand and wrist, shoulder arthroscopy (including sports-related injuries), shoulder replacement, tennis and golfer's elbow surgeries and management of complex trauma cases involving upper limb. He has received several awards and prizes throughout his career, including the annual Clinical Excellence Award under the 'Quality and Safety' category at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh Foundation NHS Trust in 2010. He has been a part of several medical societies, including the British Shoulder and Elbow Society.
Mr Odak is based at the University Hospital Morecambe Bay NHS Trust and has published over 24 articles in various peer-reviewed indexed international journals.
