I spent some time choosing a surgeon to perform my total knee replacement. Mr Chana lived up to his reputation and did a superb job. This was not straight forward ; being thirty years down the line from a nasty motorcycle accident the knee was in pretty poor shape. The end result was bordering on miraculous! He was very easy to talk to and showed just as much commitment post op. as he did pre op. Of particular note was a personal phone call from Mr Chana when my op had to be cancelled. It was due to a bladder infection and that posed a risk . It was most reassuring to have the position explained to me , and demonstrates that even when then things do not go as planned good communication is the answer, and more to the point it was from Mr Chana himself; it could so easily have been delegated . So, there we are , top marks all round !

Yesterday was my third visit to see Mr Rishi Charna with a complicated hip condition. At all times he listened carefully to my concerns, explained the diagnosis in detail and arranged for X-Ray and MRI scans to be done in order to be totally sure of the situation and also to put my mind at rest. Mr Chana inspires confidence and should I need to have a further hip operation I would hope that Mr Chana would be available to perform it. My experience of Ashford hospital has been excellent.

Mr Chana operated on my right knee and I do not know how to thank him. I am like a spring chicken since he replaced it. I am now going to get the other on done. What a wonderful person, I have great faith in him, he listens to you which is so important. so human and what a hand shake, that can tell you so much about a person.

Dr Chana has my trust and admiration. He has carried out a full knee replacement and now a Hip replacement on me. Both results have been a total success and I am grateful to him. He has been very approachful and pleasant to deal with from our first consultation to post Op appointment, explaining what he would do and how and what I needed to do to assist my own recovery after the operations. His staff are polite and efficient. I have recommended him to others and I know of folk who have also been under his care who have nothing but praise for him.
