All in all, everything was first class. Mr Berber explained everything that was to happen in great detail. For my first operation at the end of July, he visited me twice in my room to keep me updated on when the surgery would take place and after I left recovery, he came once more to my room to check that everything was going well before he left the hospital for the day. My second operation at the beginning of November was performed in the morning session, but Mr Berber still checked after the operation that all was well. These were the first times I had been in hospital for operations but I would have no fear, in the future, if the need arose that I might have to be admitted again for a procedure. Mr Berber spoke more as a friend than a surgeon - such a quality not too many people have nowadays. I was so pleased I had someone so kind looking after me and thank him so much for all his care.

After struggling to walk with a limp and enduring months of hip pain, I sought the advice of consultant surgeon Mr Rashid Berber who kindly explained to me in a very clear and straightforward way, the procedure, benefits and possible risks of total hip joint replacement. I was reassured and satisfied with the professional way the details and procedures were explained to me from pre-op, post-op through to recovery stages. The option of an epidural anesthetic was also offered which I chose and this, I can confirm was a pain free and straightforward procedure that provided me with an easier and more comfortable experience during the post-op recovery time. The morning following the op, I was able to walk without experiencing any pain in my new hip joint. I have just completed the first 7 weeks of daily physio and recovery and confirm my op wound has fully healed and that I am walking well again without pain or 'crutch' assistance. I am very happy with the results and look forward to returning soon to my normal walking exercise/cycling activities. I have no hesitation in giving top marks, my recommendations and thanks to Mr Rashid Berber and his team at the Park Hospital, Nottingham for the professional attention of treatment and the care I received.

I was in great pain when referred to Mr Berber at The park Hospital in Nottingham . From the outset Mr Berber was extremely kind and thoughtful , he explained everything to me clearly and professionally. I had the operation 6 weeks ago and everything has gone very smoothly. I will be forever grateful to him for his considerable skill but also his wonderful kindness and patience with me . I would highly recommend Mr Berber. He is an excellent surgeon. He is very down to earth and explains procedures in a manner you can understand. I have had three replacements with Mr Berber, and they have all made a great improvement on my life giving me back the activities I enjoy doing. I would like to thank all the staff at The Park hospital for making my stay and recovery all the better.
