I had my operation to remove my right kidney at Guys Hospital on 20th December 2021. My Surgeon Mr Rajesh Nair is an exceptional surgeon and I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me. I feel he has saved my life. I no longer fall asleep at the drop of a hat and I have so much more energy. I was not sure at the time whether I would have robotic or open surgery but robotic surgery was the best option and this was successfully carried out. My scars have healed very well. Thank you Raj from the bottom of my heart, I sing your praises to anyone I talk to about my operation.

Masallah gave me a lot of interest, motivation and motivation before the surgery. May God not show the lack of our valuable doctors and health workers like him.( with Kawa ) I will not forget you. My deepest regards. Ez we ji bir nakim !

I was fortunate to have stayed at Guy's Hospital, London recently when Mr Nair performed a Robotic Assisted Partial Nephrectomy on me thus saving my kidney. I have nothing but the utmost praise and respect for this surgeon, his professionalism and warmth were absolutely top notch. He has the ability to reassure you and impart confidence which is so important when you are feeling so vulnerable. I have complete trust in his judgement and skill. Mr Nair is a credit to the National Health system and I will take this opportunity to thank him on behalf of my family and myself. Sydney R Pilcher (patient from Gibraltar)

In October 2021, I went to Guys Hospital as there were tumours on my left kidney. I saw Dr Rajesh Nair and he showed me my kidney and he explained to me and my son the 3 procedures available to minimize losing the complete kidney. During the consultation I found Dr Nair showed empathy, understanding, and somehow put me at ease, that he was experienced in that field. He understood patient anxiety and gave us plenty of time to ask questions before making a decision. We decided to have keyhole surgery, part of the kidney removed and sent to the lab to established whether the tumours were malignant or non malignant. MY admission was on 24th January 2022 and Dr Nair and his team came in to see me, explained the procedure, then down to operating theatre. After the operation, I was admitted to Richard Bright Ward to be cared for by a team of dedicated nurses. I spent two days in hospital following my operation. Dr Nair team came the following morning to reassure me that the surgery went well. That was evidence because I had no severe pain but just discomfort from the draining tube. The after care team gave me all the care and attention needed towards my recovery and I made a very quick recovery and was discharged two days after my keyhole surgery. 10 days later Dr Nair called to say that the tumours were benign, and he made enquiries as to how I was coping, whether I had any pain or further questions. My family and I are very grateful that the operation was a success and thank Dr Nair and his team for their tender care and support. Pam Thompson & Family Plumstead London
