Dr Pathmanaban has removed my 15mm acoustic neuroma. Before the surgery, like other doctors involved in this long operation, he had come to see me and his presence was very reassuring. On the follow up consultation he was a good listener and all my questions were answered patiently and thoroughly. I am very grateful for the care I have received during and after my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Pathmanaban.

Mr Omar Pathmanaban is a very good neuro surgeon at salford royal hospital . he did my surgery on december 2018. I was very scared about the surgery but his words keep ringing in my ears( don't worry, i will take care of you) and he did took care of me. so many people are very scared of surgeries and in the process endanger their life, what we need is somebody to tell us that we will be fine. For me, he is the best surgeon so far. very caring. he knows what he is doing .Iam very lucky to be under his care and salford royal is also lucky to have somebody like him with good and caring teams around him. Iam recovering very well at home now.

I had Mr Pathmnaban as my consultant and surgeon after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Not only did he show great confidence and professionalism, but he also has a great bedside manner! Can't recommend Mr Pathmnaban enough!

The care and attention given to my mother by Mr Pathmanaban and his team was outstanding. On seeing Mr Pathmanaban my mother was in very poor health from an undetected brain tumour which had been growing for many years. She was 81, unable to walk, balance or concentrate on anything. Mr Pathmanaban was concerned not about the benign tumour, but the level of fluid in her brain. He admitted her immediately and his team fitted a shunt pump to drain the fluid. The results were immediate and over the last few months her recovery has been nothing short of miraculous . She has her life back and is able to walk. I cannot recommend this doctor highly enough for his care, careful explanation of the options and the operation itself and for giving an 81 year old woman a new lease of life.

Mr Pathmanaban recently removed a tumour from a tricky place behind the ear of my stepdaughter. In our view (my partner and myself) he is an exceptionally skilled surgeon with a truly caring nature. He listens carefully, instils oodles of confidence in both the patient and us as parents. He speaks in a clear, concise and simplistic manner and is dedicated to delivering excellence. His bedside manner is exemplary and he has the ability to put everyone concerned at ease. He took the time to ring us 1 hour after surgery to put our minds at rest and assure us that the operation had gone well. The follow up consultation today showed a truly remarkable result and our daughter is fit to return to work next week. We would heartily recommend Dr Pathmanaban to others and consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have him carry out this difficult procedure as the tumour was sitting in a rather awkward position.
