The service provided was fantastic, I was cared for, I was listened to, all my concerns that i had before my my ICL Surgery were listened to and answered. I was very anxious and really terrified before this surgery, however Mr Webill was fantastic, from the day of the consultation, during the days of the procedure to the day of discharging me as a patient. My vision is now 20/20. I would recommend this Doctor to anyone who is considering ICL Surgury. Nazma

I have recently had replacement lens treatment and Mark was and is my consultant. I had worn glasses for several years to assist my long vision and tended to peer over the top as I didn't need them for reading or close conversation. My main hobbies are outside, particularly golf so I hated the rainy days. I had been assessed for contact lens but had an irrational fear of putting anything into my eyes so failed that test. Having heard of the Clarivu set up, myself and a couple of friends went to a couple of really professional presentations but I have to say that it seemed a big step so from start to finish it was probably about 12 months - eyesight is very precious! Mark was excellent throughout, very personable and willing to answer questions. He was very calming during the procedures and the personal call following each operation was really appreciated. He also explained how to put the eye drops in very simply which therefore caused me a minimum of discomfort. The slight temporary issues around "halos" and the need for a brighter light for close reading were flagged up and therefore not a major concern. The aftercare has been good - I have today in theory been discharged but with the promise of future care when the "film" occurs - again the next procedure has been explained to me in detail so that I am able to prepare myself for the event when it happens. All in all a positive experience which may seem expensive but I believe that it was worth it.

Mark was an absolute professional from the initial consultation stage right through to carrying out my LASEK procedure in both eyes. He even made time to see me during the aftercare process, after the regular optometrist check-ups, just to ensure I was recovering well (which I was!). He provided clear information at all times and put me totally at ease. Prior to meeting Mark and the team at Optegra (Birmingham), I had attended consultations at various other laser eye surgical providers, but Mark's approach seemed far superior and my confidence wasn't misplaced. Recently discharged as a patient, I now have better than 20:20 vision with both eyes, after previously being unable to see anything more than two metres away prior to the procedure. I would wholly recommend Mark - if you're intending to have laser eye surgery then please have a consultation with him first.

My whole experience from the initial consultation to the aftercare after the procedure was carried out with outstanding attention to detail and care. Whilst naturally apprehensive at the beginning Mark and his team at Optegra gave me the confidence to proceed and the peace of mind during the whole process. The operation has been a complete success and would recommend it to anyone that wishes to turn back the clock and restore their sight to how it was when they were young.

I recieved treatment for a cataract from Mr Mark Wevill as an NHS patient after referral from my optician. Due to near blindness in my other eye my local NHS hospital refused to treat me until the cataract had developed to the stage where I could no longer read an eye test chart in good light wearing glasses, however I was unable to drive after dusk due to severe glare and double vision which was very disorientating and extremely dangerous. Mr Wevill understood my situation and agreed to treat me as long as I was fully aware of the risks and consequences of any complications. The consideration and treatment I recieved from Mr Wevill and the whole team at Optegra was second to none and the outcome has put Me back in control of my life. I would have absolutely no reservations about recommending treatment by Optegra and especially Mr Wevill, thank you I am extremely grateful.
