I have had both my shoulders replaced by Mr. Wijeratna. Throughout both cases he has been professional and caring. He carried out my operations (one of which was quite complicated) amazingly well. My recovery after each one was trouble free and I am now pain free and am able to carry on my life normally. I would recommend him to anyone needing surgery like mine but sadly he is moving on with his career to a different part of the UK. I am just so glad that I got to have him to treat me.

Notwithstanding initial appointment delays caused by the Covid pandemic, I was always confident that my visits to Mr Wijeratna's clinic at the NCSEM Loughborough would result in a positive experience. Administratively the system appeared to be without fault, appointments were always as scheduled and in-house team work between those in various differing roles was apparent. The premises themselves were also always immaculate. Mr Wijeratna was clearly structured, keenly focussed and as a patient I always felt confident that I was in the safe hands of an accomplished specialist. His structured approach of examination, X-rays & Ultra Sound resulted in a confirmed diagnosis of my issue and a treatment plan with injection & physiotherapy followed which proved to be successful. Advice was always available and provided in a straight forward "matter of fact" manner and although my issues were relatively minor, I can say without hesitation that I would recommend Mr Wijeratna to anyone with a shoulder issue or injury.

I was operated on, to replace my left shoulder joint, in October of this year. From my first appointment I had great confidence in Mr Wijeratna. He listened to what I had to say, asked relevant questions and was reassuring as to the success of the procedure whilst at the same time outlining possible difficulties. The operation has been a great success. despite being possibly one of Mr Wijeratna's older patients i have recovered very quickly thanks to the skill of him and his team. I can only offer my grateful and heartfelt thanks to them all.
