Have been seeing Mr Bell about a knee injury, he has been very attentive listening to my concerns and answering my questions and has given me good information to make the right decisions. His secretary Ellie was also extremely helpful in organising appointments as well as helping when I went into the clinic to see the nurse.

My 16 year old son, a keen sportsman, required key hole surgery at a difficult time, 4-6 months before a school Rugby tour & just before his GCSEs. Jonathan was superb in communicating with my son, before & after the procedure, providing re-assurance but also managing his expectations as he returned to competitive sport. Although we lived out of London it made sense to see the best clinician...we are very pleased to have seen Jonanthan

I have had trouble with my knee since i ruptured my ACL twice as a teenager. Now in my mid 40s, the problems intensified again and I saw Mr Bell. Immediately he understood my concerns and showed me a few alternatives how we could tackle the issue. We did not rush into surgery and tried conventional avenues first. But in the end I decided to have surgery and Mr Bell was very supportive to take this step. He did not promise me miracles but thought it was worth taking the risk. I had an arthroscopy a month ago and the knee already feels a lot better. I will take it slowly but Mr Bell encouraged me to try a few sports in the future, which I did not dare to do a few months ago. So overall, I am glad I went ahead with the surgery and his overall advice.

I can only reiterate what others have said. This was only my second operation, the first having been a very unpleasant experience with long-lasting after-effects, so I was both nervous and perhaps not very trusting, All of my concerns were handled with respect and care, and the experience was the best it could be. Mr Bells' anaesthetist, too, was excellent and caring, to the point of phoning me at home to discuss my concerns and of reassuring me on the day. Thank you.

Mr Bell converses with you in terms that you, as non-medical person, understand. He pays attention as you explain the problems and pain you are experiencing and then carefully and clearly gives his diagnosis and how he intends to proceed to alleviate your suffering. He never makes you feel rushed and takes time to answer any questions that you may have and makes no false promises as to the outcome. His manner is such that he inspires confidence that you will receive the best possible care and attention.
