I am now 6 weeks post op having had a TKR done robotically by Mr Gibbs.
From the first consultation he was welcoming informative and put me at ease. He answered all my questions no matter how trivial with patience and good humour.
Having had my 6 week follow up appointment Mr Gibbs was very positive about my rapid progress. My knee is healing very well thanks to his expertise and to the input from the excellent physio staff (Felicity). All in all the standard of care and professionalism I received from Mr Gibbs and all other Nuffield staff has been exceptional.

I am coming up to six weeks post surgery after having my hip replacement carried out by Mr Gibbs.
I cannot believe how well I am doing and how good my new hip feels already! It's incredible to now be pain free from the relentless, chronic pain I suffered before Mr Gibbs performed his surgery on me. I feel so, so lucky and grateful to have been referred to this consultant. He was great from the first time of meeting him, a real professional with a wonderful, reassuring, yet down to earth approach. I felt completely at ease and was able to ask whatever I wanted without feeling rushed. By the end of my first consultation with him I was raring to go and have the operation and get back to living a quality life again! I never dreamed I would be going back to the Lake District to visit and do my favourite walks but I am already planning my return for next year and that is so exciting!!!

He regularly manages hip and knee conditions along with sports injuries. He performs above average numbers of hip and knee replacements including Robotic surgery, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing. He is also a specialist in redo joint replacement surgery. He also performs key-hole surgery and ligament reconstruction for soft tissue and sports injuries. He has an interest in joint preservation treatments for arthritis such as visco-supplementation and corrective osteotomy surgery.
