I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 2nd November 2015. Mr Thomas was my consultant at the time and he explained in detail everything I was about to go through in great detail. His kind reassuring manner put me totally at rest and I was happy to go through the next phase in my life knowing he was my surgeon. I had complete confidence in him performing the surgery I was about to have. Although I was strong when I was told of my diagnosis, unfortunately my husband went to pieces. Mr Thomas very kindly reassured him of what the next chapter would entail. This as far as I am concerned is above and beyond his duty, for that I will be eternally grateful. Mr Thomas is an asset to the NHS and I am very grateful for the opportunity to meet such a kind, caring man.

I first saw Mr Thomas after being diagnosed with breast cancer and from the very first meeting he made me feel very much at ease he was very honest and explained everything in a very caring and professional way and I felt very comfortable and safe when he explained the operation and what he was going to do. This was carried out successfully and I am very happy, unfortunately I had to have another operation and again this was done and explained in a reassuring and professional way. I have to say a very big thank you to him for what he has done but most importantly when you been diagnosed and are both anxious and scared and you meet someone who you feel comfortable and reassuring with makes the treatment you are going to have bearable. So if you are fortunate to meet Mr Thomas please feel reassured that you will be in very safe caring and professional hands and that he is a very gifted consultant and surgeon.

Mr Harun Thomas is not only a high standard oncoplastic breast surgeon but an understanding and caring person. He took great attention to explain details in every aspect giving advice on the best treatment to undertake and all the possible complications involved. Mr Harun Thomas is a caring professional who explained each and every aspect of our care from initial diagnosis to surgery and thereafter the post surgical treatment. He pointed out all the relevant risks and possible complications of the treatment in a concise, friendly and reassuring manner. Whilst carrying out my examinations Mr Thomas ensured that my dignity was maintained at all times. I have complete trust in Mr Thomas and would high recommend him as your consultant. I have had great care at Southend hospital and Mr Thomas is a leading team member to ensure the correct care has been provided for the best prognosis.
