I have had surgery twice in the last 12 months on my neck to replace degenerative discs, both completed by Mr Spink at the Spire Hospital Anlaby. Right from the start he was helpful, understanding and above all listened. The first surgery didn't relieve all my symptoms but I was scanned again quickly and it was found I needed further surgery. This was organised efficiently and the second procedure seems to have relieved all my symptoms.

I had a lumber decompression 7 weeks ago which Mr Spink performed. From the first consultation I found that he listened to me, gave me options and explained everything, answering my questions. Since the operation I am recovering really well, far better than I had expected. I cannot thank him enough and feel so lucky to habe him as my consultant. I am also pleased that if I need to I can contact him in the future. Thank You Mr Spink.

I found Mr Spink down to earth, he explained my condition and options in a clear professional manner. I felt that I could trust him and had great confidence in his ability. Mr Spink clearly cares a great deal about his patients and answered any questions I had with compassion but also realistically.

I went to Mr spink with continuous nerve pain in my left arm caused by a bulging disc in my c6 c7, he listened to the problems I was having due to this and gave me options on what I could do or have done to alleviate this problem with no pressure to decide straight away, I decided after reading about all option to have anterior neck surgery and fusion, Mr spink went through all the risks that come with the surgery and what benefits of having the surgery are, I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and I can't thank Mr spink enough for his advice and support throughout the whole process, he answered my questions and was always reassuring, I am recovering well thanks to Mr spink .

Mr Spink is totally focussed even in the chaos on the wards in Hull Royal! He is calm, reassuring and professional. He treated me with respect at all times. I count myself very fortunate indeed that he was my neurosurgeon, what an asset he is. Follow up visits were prompt and always reassuring.
