Mr Robertson was fantastic, I was diagnosed with laparoscopic gallbladder & a hernia and he worked miracles at fitting me into a schedule that still allowed me to travel etc.
He kept me fully appraised all the way through, was professional but caring and genuinely a nice guy.
Recovery was very quick, 36 hours minimal discomfort after the operation, and left me with 4 tiny wounds.
I would highly recommend him

I recently attended The Spire Hospital for a laparoscopic gallbladder removal, Mr Robertson was kind, caring and professional at all times. He fully explained the procedure and the recovery process and was very happy to answer any questions or concerns.
I felt completely safe and had every confidence in his skills. My recovery was quick and went without a hitch, I was only left with 4 tiny wounds that healed quickly with minimal bruising and minimal discomfort.

Mr. Robertson provided first class care and attention at Spire Hospital, Leicester when I required a laparoscopic hernia repair. He took time to explain the whole procedure in terms of what to expect before and after the procedure. Recovery was rapid and I am entirely satisfied with the service provided. I attended The Spire as a day case for a laproscopic cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal).
Throughout the whole process, the care and attention from Mr Robertson and his team was spot on. He carefully explained the proceedure, invited questions and addressed any concerns. Consequently, the proceedure went smoothly with minimal discomfort and bruising, leaving only minor/small scars which have almost disappeared.
Totally recommend this doctor.

Gavin Robertson is a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, especially surgery for gallstones having performed more than 4500, with no bile duct injuries and hernias;- inguinal, incisional, umbilical and ventral (more than 5000), He is an expert in the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain and the management of liver and pancreas cancers.
He qualified in 1984 in Leicester, trained in centres across the world before becoming a Consultant in 1999. He has specialised in laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years.
