Can only speak about ward 31 and TAA1 but I’ve just had a really positive experience, from the HCA’s to the expert surgeons… everyone amazing
Kind staff
General Hospital was good in comparison with other NHS hospitals
Leicester hospitals are generally well managed. As someone who isn’t from Leicester the first time driving to LRI was difficult but this was to do with the roads and lanes you need to be in. The staff at the hospitals though were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and considering the pressure they are under day in day out their tolerance and good humour is amazing.
I was very impressed with the services and facilities at Leicester General Hospital. I had to have a test involving x-ray. Every staff member that I dealt with was really supportive and understanding. I had been dreading the test and was surprised and pleased with how easy they made it.
I attended today for a ct colon with contract appointment. Everyone from reception through to the medical team were professional, helpful and curious. They explained what was going to happen and made me feel comfortable and informed.
During my stay I was given first class treatment by all the staff. The nurses were absolutely wonderful, caring and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them regardless of how overworked they were.
The staff are amazing
I had major surgery in Nov 2017 it's all about team work I cannot fault the lgh I don't know who's in charge but well done to you all
The surgery part was fine when I was on the ward on both occasions the level of care was abysmal.
Nurses didn’t know what procedure I had undergone.
Wrong medication given .
Pain relief not adhered to.
Level of care was that bad I was going to discharge myself as my mental health was being affected.
I was left to make & change my own bed .
I was left to shower myself .
On reflection an absolutely hideous experience with no redeeming features.
