Gavin was great at explaining the proposed procedure and enacted everything thoroughly and professionally. He also performed a minor procedure as part of the main work which he said was necessary and could easily be done at the same time. I felt well cared for and professionally managed throughout from consultation to post op

I cannot express my thanks to this man for restoring a quality of life. Having been referred he quickly diagnosed a bi-lateral inguinal hernia. All appointments were attended to promptly and my treatment was exceptional. He is supported by an excellent anesthetist and medical staff at the Spire. I could go on praising this man even more but suffice to say that he is a professional in his field and a man I will always be eternally grateful for having the pleasure to meet.

I was referred to Mr Robertson by my GP to treat an Umbilical Hernia at The Spire, Leicester. The care and attention from the team at The Spire and especially Mr Robertson was incredibly good. From the first consultation to the operation and aftercare gave me huge confidence that I was in safe hands!

I was referred to Mr Robertson after a scan at the local hospital revealed I may have gall stones. The patience and care Mr. Robertson showed me was excellent throughout and he allayed all my concerns about what was going to happen and the potential outcomes. Mr. Robertson talked me through what was going to happen, the potential risks and my expected recovery afterwards. Once in hospital for the procedure, Mr. Robertson came to see me in my room before the operation and carefully reassured me about the procedure and also reminded me of the risks. he approached everything with great calmness and professionalism and I felt in safe hands throughout. After the procedure , he came to see me to check I was OK and to let me know he would be arranging a follow up consultation in 3 weeks' time. He asked if I had any questions now and wished me a speedy recovery - assuring me all had gone to plan in the operating theatre. I last saw Mr. Robertson on 16th March for my final review and the conversation was very relaxed and reassuring. all had gone well and was feeling much better and back to my normal self. Mr. Robertson wished me all the very best and gave me reassurance that if I had any further trouble, unlikely as it may be , that I should get straight in touch. The overall experience of care from Mr. Robertson was nothing short of amazing and I would have no hesitation in going to him again and would recommend Mr. Robertson to anyone else needing his expertise.

From initial consultation to post-operative follow up, I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Robertson's exceptional skills and impeccable care. A professional of the highest standards, instilling trust and confidence from the outset. An amazingly calm and reassuring demeanour, a welcome level of good humour that put me at ease; very clear and thorough answers to my questions and concerns, delivered in a kind, straightforward manner, which has all contributed to an excellent experience of my treatment at The Spire. It is just a shame that current Covid restrictions only allow interaction via a mask, as this inevitably diminshes the personal touch during consultations. On the day of surgery the pre- and post op visits were relaxed and informative, leaving me safe in the knowledge I was in highly skilled and compassionate hands. Being kept well informed and engaged with throughout the process assuaged my anxieties, always keeping me in a positive mindset. One very successful laparoscopic cholecystectomy later, I am looking forward to a trouble free future with deep gratitude. Sincere thanks to Mr Robertson for the truly exemplary care I have received.
