On 22/02/2017 I tripped badly smashing my radius at the elbow. I was unable to use my right arm and being totally right handed well, you can imagine. On 03/03/2017 Mr Talawadaker operated giving me a replacement right radial head and I now have the use of my arm and can write again. To me, Mr Talawadaker has performed a miracle and I'm only sorry that funds do not permit him to remain at St Peters and Ashford Hospitals where he would be able to continue his wonderful work. My thanks and gratitude go to Mr Talawadaker and the staff at St Peters and Ashford for the wonderful work they do. I would also like to wish Mr Talawadaker every success in Lancashire where I'm sure he will be a great success in his new post. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent surgeon.

I did not meet this Dr. until the morning of surgery due to a late change for my admission. This gentleman put me at ease and spoke with me throughout the operation that was performed by one of his junior team under local anaesthetic. The follow up appointment was again very reassuring. Some people complain about our N.H.S. the waiting the bedside manner of nurses but my experience has been one of complete satisfaction for the Dr. and all the staff at Ashford day surgery unit.

Mr Talawadekar is a wonderful consultant. He is calm, patient, professional, charming and goodhumoured - which is a perfect combination of qualities in a consultant, especially when the patient knows nothing about her condition and is experiencing ongoing pain. He is also encouraging and reassuring - essential if, like me, you are thinking the worst and very worried. I have experienced pain in my right shoulder for many years following an injury, and have trailed round various doctors and physiotherapists to seek the answer. Mr. Talawadekar reassured me instantly and ensured I had a variety of tests to assess the problem. He was able to diagnose the issue and I now - at last - have a clear idea of what is happening and how to deal with it. Thanks to Mr. Talawadekar's intervention, I avoided an unnecessary operation suggested previously by other experts, and was referred to a physiotherapist who is helping me manage the issue through exercises. My pain is much reduced and I am very relieved there is nothing more sinister going on. I am extremely grateful to him and have no hesitation in recommending him to any patient with similar concerns. Thank you so much, Mr. Talawadekar. I understand you are leaving St. Peter's Hospital and am very sad you will not be there to deal with me if the problem recurs. However, I wish you all the very best in your new post; St. Peter's loss is your new hospital's gain!

Mr. GD Talawadeker was attentive, caring and unrushed when he attended to me before , during and after my shoulder operation. He explained all the medical terms quite simply and put me at ease so the best results could be attained. Three months after the operation and already I am able to lift my shoulder up into the air which I could not do before the operation. Mr. GD Talawadekar with a smile gently assures me that all will be well. As I do my exercises his gentle affirmative voice rings in my ear and I know all will be well.
