Mr Talawadekar recently performed an anatomical shoulder replacement for me. This gentleman is a rare gem and brings light into your life at a difficult time. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable and charming and a shining example of what we all should aspire to be. I have nothing but gratitude and thanks to express, if only there were more people like him in the world. I wish him all the best and recommend him 1000 per cent

Dr Talawadeker is a very comical doctor, and has a great sense of humour. Cracking jokes and having laughs with us.
He listening to my health problem with my shoulder . He arranged MRI scans to check how bad my shoulder was.
We then visited him again to get results of Scans he was very informative regarding what he would have to do to repair the torn tendon, Showing me the scans so I could see, and he explained them thoroughly. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I felt I would be in good hands.
He carried out the operation and informed me the tear was bigger than he expected so took a bigger operation to repair. The recovery would now take longer than was first expected.
4 months post operation, I have just seen Dr Talawadeker and he is very pleased with my recovery which is going really well. I am still having physiotherapy.
Yet again we had great banter and fun appointment. He is a joy to be with.
He really is a great Orthopaedic Consultant and I Highly recommended him.
I don't think there is anything I could suggest to improve anything. He is so good at his job.

I had surgery on my elbow and from the start Mr Talawadekar put me at ease- explained everything and listened and took amazing care of me. My arm is much improving thanks to his surgery. I would trust him again and the care I received from him was outstanding.

I having nothing but praise for Mr Talawadekar . From my first consultation to having the surgery for rotator cuff repair and after surgery .
All was explained very clear what procedure he was going to perform and did perform which I fully understood . And he also made me feel at ease about the all procedure.

Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
