Mr Gnanachandran was kind, attentive and flexible in his consultations and it always felt like he was 'on your side'. He worked with me on options which eventually led to a total hysterectomy, about which I am really pleased to say went really well. I am delighted to now be in much better health than I have been for several years. Mr Gananachandran sees you as a whole person not just a condition, his care was fantastic.

I am seeing Dr Gnanachandran regarding potential PCOS after years of worry. He was thorough throughout, reassuring and in regular contact via email/telephone when I was worried about a potential outcome. (A personal service he didn’t need to necessarily do).
I would recommend him to anyone as a specialist gynaecologist, I have an open return appointment within 6 months which has given me peace of mind.

I would highly recommend Mr Gnanachandran. I was seen and diagnosed very quickly, enabling me to start effective treatment within a short timeframe. This has improved my condition rapidly and I was back to normal within weeks. I felt he listened and acknowledged my views and preferences and we jointly agreed the best options for me in terms of procedures and treatment. I appreciated him taking the time to do this and genuinely taking my feelings into consideration and I never felt rushed when making any decisions. He always had time to answer all the questions I had and provided all the information I requested in a way appropriate to my needs.

Mr Gnanachandran, Consultant Gynaecologist,
Graduated from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka (2002)
NHS training programme in 2004.
In 2005, he started obstetrics and gynaecology training, working in several hospitals throughout the West Midlands and Wales, completing training in multiple different aspects of gynaecology including ultrasound scan and laparoscopic surgery for patients with subfertility, endometriosis, fibroids and early gynaecology malignancies.
In 2016 he was appointed as a consultant at Northampton General Hospital to develop fertility services and gynaecology rapid access care service provision.
In his current post, he leads fertility, emergency gynaecology services and gynaecology rapid access care (suspected cancer 2ww pathway) dealing with patients suspected of having cancer.
His main interest is to help patients avoid unnecessary interventions and to allow them to access appropriate early surgery when needed.
