Mr Andrew Tsang was very thorough in explaining my laparoscopic femoral hernia operation. He made me feel comfortable and I felt confident with his knowledge of the procedure. Prior to the operation I was given an information pack which explained what a hernia entailed and was asked to read this through carefully. Before my operation I filled in a pre-assessment form and a consent form which is standard practice. On admission to the hospital Mr Tsang greeted me and asked how I was feeling and if there was any more questions I wished to ask. Just before the operation Mr Tsang was beside my bed and when I woke from the operation he was again smiling and asking if I was all right. Six weeks after the procedure you are given a follow-up appointment but due to the pandemic this was cancelled. Mr Tsang telephoned me at home to see if I was satisfied with the outcome of the operation and if I had any problems I wished to discuss. I cannot thank Mr Tsang enough for his kindness and caring attitude which made my experience so much more pleasant. I would also like to thank all the nurses and staff involved. You all do a fantastic job. For those people that have to undergo this operation, the first three days are a little painful but never as painful as my hernia was before the operation. Administration - Sorry to put this at the end but the only negative criticism is that the pre-admission form which is a four page document got mislaid and I had to fill this in twice.

I had an appointment with Mr Tsang regarding my painful hernia problem, he put my mind at rest immediately , told me about the procedure , what to expect, I found him Friendly ,very professional and very caring and trustworthy ,on the day he came in saw me before the operation, then again afterwards , the operation went very well, and I'm back to my normal self again. I would also like to praise the excellent nurses at the Fitzwilliam, Katie, Ranni & Sharon , these three nurses I got to know the most all three ,very caring a professional , not just the nurses but everyone at the Fitzwilliam professional and understanding

I received excellent care from Mr Tsang during a quite traumatic time for me. At my initial consultation, He clearly explained the process involved and addressed all my concerns. . At my admission for surgery he again went over everything to be sure I fully understood the implications of surgery. I found him to be a really genuine, caring man and would thoroughly recommend him.

My hernia appeared four years and my local GP repeatedly told me it could not be repaired unless I was suffering pain. A short time ago it started to trouble me with the result that I saw Mr Tsang on 15th October. He immediately recommended surgery and explained that what should have been a simple procedure under a local anesthetic now required major surgery under a general anesthetic. He went on to explain the procedure and the percentage likelihood of post op. problems, and other difficulties that I might experience. Throughout the whole consultation Mr Tsang was very professional and answered all my questions. I had my operation on 21st October. From the time I arrived at the hospital until the time I left some eight hours later I was kept fully informed and received exceptional care. Mr Tsang visited me both pre and post op. and kept me fully informed all the way. My final assessment was on 3rd December. The consultation was again very professional with Mr Tsang yet again answering all my questions. I left his consulting rooms very confident that my hernia had been professionally repaired.
