I was admitted to Peterborough hospital in 2016 where I first met Mr Dennis. From the first initial meeting and consultation I knew that I was in good hands and he gave me 100% confidence in him and his wonderful team. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I have no doubt in my mind that Mr Dennis saved my life. His bedside manner is second to none and you feel that you are his only patient. He saw me every morning and most evenings on the ward and he just filled you with such confidence that you were getting better after the operation. I must say I was pretty ill and it was a long haul and as I said earlier I know I owe him my life and my family and I will be forever grateful to him and his team.

Mr Dennis performed a lower anterior resection on me in November 2011 - he visited me on the ward every morning and evening after my surgery - I can honestly say he has given me a new life - he was so positive that he would remove my cancerous tumour - to date I can say that all has been ok.

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at 41 and needed an operation. At my first appointment I was very frightened and concerned about my future treatments. Mr Dennis spent well over an hour talking to me, my husband and my mother. I felt very reassured and sure that I was receiving the best care. He treated me with total respect and dignity throughout. As well as having time for me, he also spent a great deal of time talking to my family. He is an extremely hardworking doctor. When I was in hospital he visited me at 7pm at night! I would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone. As my father in law said, ‘Mr Dennis is a true gentleman’. Thank you for all you have done.

From the first appointment, Dr Dennis instantly made me feel at ease. He listened to any questions or concerns I had, and never made me feel rushed or like I was just another number. He explained the whole procedure clearly to me so I knew what to expect. He has a great bedside manner and is very calming and approachable. His attitude and professionalism along with his knowledge and kindness made me trust him from the start. The operation was a complete success and my scars have healed nicely. I would recommend Dr Dennis in a heartbeat.
