“ I met Professor Hart on the recommendation of a friend who was delighted with the hip replacement he performed for her.
I had put off my own very necessary hip replacement due to sheer fear and not feeling very confident with the previous surgeons I had met. I think this was because I had only had one surgery in my life that was rather traumatic!
I can truly state that everything changed after my initial consultation with Professor Hart. I walked into the consultation with both sides of a A4 sheet full of questions! He answered each one honestly, took time to explain in terms that were easy to understand. He was sensitive to my fear and anxiety and showed great care and understanding. He also referred me to his anaesthetist colleague who was equally empathetic and outstanding.
The operation went extremely well, I was up a few hours later and within days walking and doing stairs. As I write this It is one year since my op. I am dancing again (Latin and gentle jive!), doing three classes of my beloved Pilates a week, going back to playing Pickleball, swimming and walking. I have my life back! No pain! Running up stairs again! No night after night of lost sleep die to groin and hip pain!
Thank you so much professor Hart. This may sound a little “Cheesy” but every time I play around with my grandchildren I thank you!!”
Sincerely

I had a very bad experience at another hospital after my accident originally and was very nervous and apprehensive about anybody but I knew I had to find the best of the best and I can with confidence say I found that in Professor Hart 10/10 to him and his team that looked after me.
Very approachable, understanding and professional and gives one complete confidence. Thank you.

Professor Hart is at the top of his game as a surgeon but also caring and communicative. I have worked with as colleagues and seen as a patient many consultants over 50 years. I would rate Alister Hart as one of the best with old fashioned bedside manner but cutting edge knowledge and skills applying the latest technology.
