I can highly recommend Mr Hannan from a patient perspective. He has a calm and friendly professional manner. He puts you at ease. The consultation is like a chat, very patient-centred but at the same time you are aware he is the doctor. His laryngoscopy was also painless and this was without an anaesthetic and he picked up on a lot of things whilst looking down my throat which only took a few moments as well. He invested time in explaining my whole problem and what could be done about it and the advice was individualised and fully met with my concerns and expectations. Excellent and expert clinician, very nice man.

Mr Hannan is a very caring, professional doctor. I had an operation a week ago and it was my first. So, as normal, I was very nervous and not quite sure what to expect. However, a couple of hours before my procedure Mr Hannan came and spoke to me and explained everything that was going to happen, and whether i was uncomfortable or unsure about anything. After the talk i felt very calm, my nervousness had disappeared, and couldn't wait to get started. Mr Hannan's friendly tone made me feel as if i were at home speaking to a family member and there was nothing to worry about. The operation was very successful and i owe it to a doctor which i can only describe as world class! Would highly recommend! Jon

My wife carefully selected Mr Hannan when she required the services of an E.N.T. Consultant. My wife and I have both previously sought the assistance of an E.N.T. Specialist previously. Mr Hannan has a very friendly and open disposition. His detailed questioning of previous medical history coupled with his conversational questioning regarding to current symptoms made for an accurate and prompt diagnosis. Mr Hannan is fully conversant with modern practises and regularly seeks to embrace all new information which is available through research and development. He is a family man with a touch of star quality about him. Some Consultants I have encountered can be a bit 'stuffy' or pompous. Being at ease helps to recall the symptoms I find, this in turn helps the Consultant. I would recommend that you place Mr Hannan at the very top of you preferred list of E.N.T. Consultants. He comes with my full recommendation.

I had seen many doctors prior to seeing Mr. Hannan including two Neurologists, Migraine specialists and appointments with Eye specialists regarding my intense migraines with an eye that kept closing. It was also suggested that stress was playing a part in my symptoms. I insisted that my G.P. refer me to an E.N.T. specialist and after a little research I chose to see Mr. Hannan. Mr. Hannan has a very calm professional manner, he listens carefully and takes the time to read and cross reference all your medical notes including those unrelated to E.N.T. to enable him to carefully investigate and treat your problems. He is also able to look into your nose, sinus and as far as your vocal cords with a small camera/endoscope, which he did recently without any anesthetic and I must say it was painless, just a little uncomfortable. This is due to his skill and patience, but a spray anesthetic is on offer if you really want it but from my experience it is not necessary with this doctor. Mr. Hannan likes to make sure that you understand your condition and diagnosis and uses the aid of photos and the internet to explain your treatment and management of your condition. It was discovered that I had a blocked rear right sinus. Mr. Hannan operated on me and I am delighted to say that I do not spend 4-5 days a week with a crippling headache and my eye does not close anymore either with pain or on movement. I recently lost my voice and was happy to go back to Mr. Hannan as I completely trust him.
