My mum was seen by Sascha at what was the most difficult day of all our lives. She'd had a diagnosis she never expected the same day and was in pieces by time we saw Sascha in the evening. I am forever grateful for mums first appointment with Sascha, Sascha was like a breath of fresh air when we all felt we were suffocating. Sascha spoke to my mum honestly, but with so much care. She explained the surgery mum would need, and treatment after, she listened to our concerns, and answered all our questions. By time Sascha was done with mum, mum had a smile back on her face, felt completely reassured, and although understandably nervous about surgery, she was confident in Sascha. Surgery went really well, and mum has been left with minimal scars, minimal pain and discomfort and is healing really well. More importantly Mums biopsy results confirmed Sascha had removed all the nastys in one surgery. It was also reassuring during the whole process that Sascha is highly thought of amongst her fellow colleagues, and is spoken of highly, with one of them commenting that the fact my mum had full range of movement in her arm on Sascha providing her with excellent surgery. I would highly recommend Sascha, she manages to be professional, but with a caring, bubbly, friendly, nature which is very rare. I'm sure she is thanked regularly by patients, but a Thank You doesn't seem enough for what she has done for my mum. I cannot thank her enough from the bottom of my heart, and we feel like we owe her the world right now. We are forever grateful, and would highly recommend Sascha.

I was very pleased at my recent visit to the Breast Unit at Broomfield Hospital, when I was called through at (or slightly before) my appointed time. On previous visits, there have been anxious delays in a crowded waiting room. Miss Dua gave me to understand that efforts have been made to deal with the problem of excessive waiting, in response to comments received from patients. Miss Dua always seems friendly, approachable and willing to answer any questions I might have to ask.

Dr Dua showed great compassion when dealing with my breast cancer she was very positive and made me feel really confident for the future. She carried out my surgery and I had minimal discomfort and my scar is barely visible whenever I see her she always puts me at ease she has made what has been a difficult time of life easier to cope with all in all an excellent doctor. The breast unit at Broomfield is a excellent advert for the NHS and I really don't see how they could improve just carry on the good work.

Sascha Dua is a really lovely lady, kind and compassionate and clearly knows what her patients need. She broke the news of my cancer to me in a gentle fashion, realising that probably a great deal of what she was saying wasn't necessarily being taken in because of shock. To this end she then offered to see me again in clinic whenever I needed it. Like a fool , I tried to deal with the diagnosis on my own, and not bother her. However Sascha was wise to this and before long I was whisked back to see her. The difference that that half hour made to me was immense. I felt safe and secure with her and able to face the operation I needed to have. Sascha has a great sense of fun which really helps to ease the tension you are feeling. Oh and she is a great surgeon - really skilled. She had led me to believe all along that it would probably be two operations and I have escaped with one. This is because she and her wonderful breast team worked so hard on my operation day - allowing her to remove all the nasty cells in one go . My breast hardly looks any different than before which is really confidence boosting. I would really recommend Sascha Dua . Breast Cancer are two really scary words and Sascha has helped me to face the fear they bring and look forward to the future ( one day at a time) with hope. Most importantly don't try and be strong on your own - take up Sascha's or the breast care nurses offer of extra support if you need it. It truly makes all the difference when you finally realise that .
