Nisha is a fantastic doctor who gave me great reassurance & trust in her ability to help my daughter after numerous visits previously with various doctors. Nisha came fully informed of my daughters medical history and was able to swiftly conclude the best course of action. In addition she has been easily contactable for guidance post appt and is continuing to do so whilst we proceed with the next stage of care.

I was referred to Miss Rahman via my consultant in my local hospital. I had to travel from my home to the Chelsea and Westminster for a consultation. Both myself and my mum did not realise we would actually see Nishat for our consultation. Even though I was petrified at the idea of having an operation, actually meeting Nishat put me at ease. She had earmarked a particular date for my operation and rearranged her diary to schedule me in accordingly. We discussed my fear of needles and anxiety and rather than rushing me through the appointment, Nishat listened to everything I had to say, that included a list of about 10 questions I had typed up on my phone in the waiting room. When she asked if we had any more questions, I'm not sure she expected so many! She even directed her questions and answers at me, which was very unusual as at previous appointments in different settings, the professional directed questioning to my Mum - so that definitely helped me feel comfortable. My Mum always says to me to want people to listen to your side of the story you have to have the respect to listen to others and really Nishat does that and more. Approximately 3 weeks later I attended Chelsea & Westminster for my operation. Aside from the time waiting to be allocated a bed, everything else was extremely well organised. My parents had booked a room at the hospital just incase neither of them could sleep next to me. It transpired that regardless of my age (16 at the time) I was allowed one to sleep with me. The nurses on the ward were all lovely. I cannot even begin to explain how scared I was. After discussing things with my Mum I realised I was more scared of the anaesthetic and not waking up. During my stay and prior to my operation I think I met everyone on Nishat's team, the Registrar, Anaesthetist etc they were ALL so understanding, showing a lot of empathy towards me. I even got to meet Nishat again and that really helped me calm down (as much as I possibly could), she is so lovely. Again she was so understanding, happy to listen to me talk again about being scared but not once did I feel she wasn't interested in me. After my operation Nishat appeared at my bed, it was so lovely to see her, especially as she told my parents everything had gone to plan and also other members of her team appeared at various times throughout the day checking on me and my parents. When my consultant in Colchester advised my parents she was referring me to Nishat because she was the best, obviously we had nothing to compare her to never having been through this procedure before, as my parents said, all parents ever want is the best for their child. I am so grateful that Nishat decided I was an ideal candidate for robotic pyeloplasty ...4 months on and my very small, neat scars are fading slowly but surely. I have now had my stent removed and due to Covid I couldn't have the procedure done by Nishat but one of her team that she recommended highly performed it for me and because of what I feel for Nishat I knew I was in safe hands. I do have to have some follow up appointments for an ultrasound and another MAG3 (which I hate - more needles) and I am hopeful that I am lucky enough to meet with Nishat again once we have a follow up consultation following those tests.

Nisha has a very friendly, calming nature which made our 14 year old son feel comfortable and at ease ahead of his operation. She explained the complex robotic procedure very clearly beforehand, so we knew what to expect and obviously performed it very well, as it appears to have been a complete success, as our Son is now pain free. Nisha replies to emails swiftly and is always happy to answer any concerns/questions you may have. We couldn't of asked for a better surgeon, would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Dr Rahman - surgery was a great success, communication was excellent both before and after the operation and her bedside manner was very calming.
