Miss McGuinness is, in addition to being a highly qualified, very competent and very experienced clinician, a naturally a kind and caring lady. As someone with ongoing vascular problems it is very reassuring to be able to contact her quickly and easily when worrying (potentially lethal) symptoms appear. She is very generous with her time and has fitted me in at the end of a very long working day, for which I was very grateful. It gives me great peace of mind to know that she is “there” to help and guide her patients. She is also intuitive, which I regard as a great gift and a useful tool.

Following an episode of Phlebitis in December 2020 I saw Miss Cathy McGuinness. She immediately took charge of me and carefully explained this condition and why it was important to have the correct investigations. There then followed a series of tests over several months to determine if the cause would resolve by itself. At every stage I found Miss Mc Guinness personable and efficient in her care, she regularly made contact with me to see how I was which was very reassuring. Eventually she decided that I required laser surgery to close off a troublesome vein and this procedure has just been completed. Everything was explained beforehand and on the day I did not find the surgery painful, a few moments of discomfort in all. Miss McGuinness is a surgeon I would have no hesitation in recommending, she is a competent professional with a pleasant easy manner.
