The contrast between the service provided by the NHS and this doctor could not have been more stark. When I had a NHS referral in August it took the local Trust 3 weeks to reply to put me on the waiting list and I only recently was given an appointment for 8 January 2026. I called Dr Mc Guiness while she was driving to a clinic and she called me back an hour an a half later. The subsequent treatment of my varicose veins appears to have been successful and my ulcers have healed in time for Christmas and if I had any queries they were actioned within the day I submitted them. She and her nurse, Jacqui, could not be faulted.

I cannot recommend Miss Catharine McGuinness highly enough. From my very first appointment, she was professional, kind, and completely reassuring, taking the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. Catherine is clearly an expert in her field. She came highly recommended to help me get rid of my unsightly collection of spider veins. These were causing me issues as I was beginning to have comments suggesting I had bruises on my legs. My veins were examined through ultrasound to ensure they were suitable to be worked upon. I have now had 3 short sessions and the effects are amazing! It is honestly life-changing for me and has given me the return of my confidence. Catherine and her team are wonderful, talented, kind and of course miracle workers. I am so grateful I found them.

After four months of dealing with a non-healing veinous ulcer, it became apparent that it would never heal until my veins were dealt with. This was going to take around 18 months of waiting on the NHS so in desperation I turned to Cathy as the pain had become unbearable. Cathy saw me within a week and operated the following week. She explained everything clearly so that I understood the plan and the procedure. The ulcer then began to heal immediately so the results were amazing and I am now pain free. I can't recommend Cathy and her team highly enough. She has given me back my life - it has been that transformative. She is an absolute expert in her field.
