Dr S Khan listened very carefully to my description of my symptoms and history, and consequently was able to make a comprehensive diagnosis of the likely cause of my ongoing pain. She was also able to relate well to my wider medical picture, drawing in those aspects that were relevant. She has written a very good and thorough summary letter as a result of the consultation.

Dr Khan has seen me for a number of years and is the one rheumatologist I would trust whole heartily. She is kind and listens to all I have to say even though it seems I am a hard patient to diagnose. I feel confident when I see her that she is doing whatever she can

Dr Khan was very caring, compassionate and pragmatic in her approach. She initial called for a telephone appointment to discuss my mothers symptoms, and then requested a face to face appointment. She was thorough and helpful, arranging investigations which were all done on the same day. She clearly explained her thought processes and various options. She called me the the following day to discuss the results and treatment plan for mum.. Thank you.

I was born and educated in South Warwickshire and completed my initial medical degree in Bristol University. I then completed my General Medical training in the South West and my higher specialist rheumatology training in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist at Solihull Hospital and Spire Little Aston hospital since 2010 and see patients with all rheumatological problems including inflammatory arthritis, gout, connective tissue diseases, soft tissue problems such as bursitis and tendonitis and osteoarthritis. I also run a multidiscliplinary clinic for Ankylosing Spondylitis patients as part of my NHS practice.
I am a Principal Investigator in clinical trials in the fields of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as being a committee member of the West Midlands Rheumatology training committee which co-ordinates local higher speciality training.
