I saw Dr Shachi Mishra yesterday for some gynaecological procedures at King George Hospital. I must admit I was quite nervous before the appointment due to some previous unpleasant experiences many years ago at a different hospital (and different team). I am so pleased to say that yesterday’s experience was so different and pleasantly surprising - easy, efficient and painless. I am so glad to have been treated by this wonderful, vibrant and genuinely kind Consultant and her lovely team - I was constantly reassured during the procedures and felt my dignity was respected throughout. I was given a very thorough and professional assessment before the procedure, Dr Mishra and her team made sure I was comfortable during the procedure and I was treated with great courtesy and kindness after. I never expected to have such an excellent level of care and attention given to me - I would highly recommend Dr Mishra for anyone who wishes to be treated very well and I certainly wouldn’t feel nervous if I had to see her again. She is an amazing and hard working lady; she is a credit to her department and the hospital. As, of course, are the whole team of lovely nurses, reception and assistants on Laurel unit at King George Hospital. Thank you very much!

Dr Shachi Mishra is friendly, welcoming and displayed genuine concern when talking to me. She thoroughly examined me. Told me when I will see her again. She exudes a beautiful caring nature. I felt this doctor was interested in my wellbeing. Lovely lovely lady.

Miss Mishra was not the first doctor I saw but as surgery was indicated, I asked if I could have a word with the surgeon beforehand, despite there being only a few days left before the operation. Despite this, Miss Mishra telephoned me on the Saturday morning before the Monday operation date and very easily put my mind at rest. I asked if she would come to the ward to see me before the operation and she did so. I was only one night in hospital after the operation and although I was advised that I would need at least six weeks recuperation time, I was absolutely fine after 4 weeks and I've no doubt that in another month or so, all trace of the key-hole surgery will have disappeared. I was advised on discharge that Miss Mishra would see me 3 weeks after surgery with the hystology report and that's exactly what happened. I hope I see Miss Mishra when I go in for the six monthly check ups!

Although my procedure was difficult and somewhat painful at times. Dr Mishra was constantly checking to see if I was ok and seemed to genuinely care about my well-being. She explained everything to me clearly and was very happy with my treatment.

I have had two telephone consultations with Dr Mishra of Queens Hospital, BHR Trust and found her very easy to speak to. She listened to me intently and answered all my questions - I would like to meet her face to face and hope I can do so sometime but in the meantime I trust her guidance and am grateful for her care.
