I was referred to King George’s Hospital and I felt the care and attention given by Dr Shachi Mishra was professional, caring & extremely practical. I didn’t feel like a “number” on the system but a human that she took care to understand.

Dr Shachi Mishra and nurses Everlen and Claudia made me feel at ease by showing me respect and empathy. I had previously had to go under GA for a hysteroscopy and biopsy because 2 previous doctors hadn't been able to get the biopsy while I was awake as it was too painful. Dr Mishra kept me informed about every step of the process and I'm still amazed that she managed to get the biopsy so I'm very impressed with the level of care I received.

I was fortunate to be placed in the care of Dr Shachi Mishra and her team, Natasha and Kate, on Monday, 11th December 2023. I felt at ease right at the start of the appointment, and I shared my frustration with the bleeding experienced with HRT treatment and explained these did not agree with me and that I would consider having a coil fitted. She listened intently to my concerns and advised that one could be fitted today following the Hysteroscopy. Taking painkillers before the appointment was helpful, and I drank a pint and a half of water an hour before. I was anxious about inserting the speculum and requested the smallest size, which was honoured. Dr Mishra even loosened its grip when I said I could feel it, which helped enormously. Natasha and Kate offered great support during my appointment. I was so pleased with the fitting of the Mirena coil, which I did not feel, and there was minimal discomfort.
