Thank you for this- The automatic doors are designed and installed specifically for the needs of disabled persons.The doors can be disengaged with a switch or key and in the event of a power failure all the doors disengage and are then easily opened by hand. The reordering of the reception area will have a wheelchair accessible area which hopefully will work much better than the original reception wheelchair access.

Thank you for that feedback,in the practice library we have a book which I try to encourage the registrars and students to read called "Listening as Work"- its message is that in a consultation it may be much more efficient as a Dr just to be quiet and listen carefully rather than interrupting and trying to get the story out faster - it is difficult to do when the minutes are ticking by and you have got several other patients waiting to see you. When the students and registrars look at the book - I can sense a " Oh yeah Maidment " look and sometimes these lessons we only learn by experience. Thank you !

Thank you for that helpful feedback,I do find it a challenge to balance the easy going/ with not wanting to come across as being "unprofessional" and certainly one cannot be all things to all people. Certainly I have found having an open manner seems to work for me and make the day - which sometimes can be long and daunting more efficient and enjoyable and appears to lead to better outcomes for patients.
