The experience started with the nurses before Dr Stoker came and introduced himself. They could not have been more pleasant, understanding and caring. Dr Stoker had a very calming personality and able to explain the reasoning behind the various tests, the risks involved and the procedure. He understood my concerns and answered all my questions. His time keeping was impecable A very proffesional doctor with a great team!

Dr Stoker patiently listened to my mother when I accompanied her to an important appointment. What I particularly liked was that even though I was there, his focus was absolutely on my Mum and explaining answers to my questions to her and not to me. This was great as he was able to ensure she was understanding things as we went along. He was calm and reassuring but spoke plainly in terms of the risks involved whilst suggesting measures that he would initiate to reduce the risks identified (and in delaying the writing of this review by a bit, I can confirm those measures have taken place). He explained the results of tests taken and how these would be used to tailor the care pre, post and during the operation to my mother's particular circumstances. Whilst some of the messages weren't ones you would choose to hear, he put them across in a supportive manner. The follow up letter detailing the appointment summaries what was said during the meeting and there are no surprises. Next steps were clearly explained. A knowledgeable and friendly doctor, keen to take care of his patient, happy to answer my questions as concerned daughter. A great example of a medical professional.

Could not have had any better treatment. I felt that I was listened too and had everything explained to me clearly in words that I could understand. Although I am very apprehensive about the operation I am going to have, the reassurance he gave me was a great help. A really charming man and someone you could talk too.

Wow... What a lovely doctor he was so patient and explained everything to me and made it very clear for me to understand..what a credit to the hospital I felt calm and I felt he had time for me.. I feel I can trust him which is a must and the detail he went into was more than I expected... I am so use to getting walls put up in front of me and not getting any help, well I got all the help I needed. Thank you so much I have faith now. X
