I was very impressed with how my appointment was conducted with Dr Mark Stoker. Everything was explained to me in detail and I was shown graphs and studies which had taken place to assess risks etc. He was easy to talk to and I never felt rushed. I felt that I was in capable hands and he instilled trust in me which I felt was important.

Dr Stoker was excellent in all ways, he reassuring and friendly till the point of me going under the anaesthetic. He answered all of mine and my mother's questions. I felt very safe and well looked after under his care.

Dr Stoker took time to ensure I was aware of the options available for my total hip replacement. He covered the pros and cons of each anaesthetic technique before advising on the combination of spinal block and light general.
The day following my surgery, he returned to explain what actions he had taken to reduce bleeding during the operation (slowing heart rate) and how he had achieved it.
His willingness to explain and answer my questions instilled great confidence in his ability.
