We felt in the best of hands with Dr JC Wong. My wife saw him on two occasions within two weeks. Each time he went way beyond to really listen to her perspective on treatment options, questions, and thoughts. He put her at the centre of his medical approach and allowed her an active role in the decision-making process, validated her perspective, and evolved standard practice in the best possible way for her. He treated us like fellow human beings. In particular, the second time we met him he brought our third daughter into the world with an elective Caesarean. I saw myself his impeccable bedside manner – instantly placing himself at eye level with my wife, focusing on her dignity at all times, taking the time to really listening to her and responding to her as equal – even throwing in a well-judged sense of humour at times. All seemingly small things individually, but as part of many other small touches, culminate to make a big difference in an intimidating and busy surgical environment. We have personal and special memories of the day – not at any point did JC make it feel like a procedure, it felt like a birth. He has made a huge difference and really helped my wife process her elective Caesarean experience with a sense of positivity and control. Of course her scar is very small and neat, and she has recovered exceedingly well thanks to him and the team as well. Overall we still talk about our experience with him with such fondness, and appreciate having met and been under his care at Whipps Cross Hospital. All round, he’s a lovely chap, excellent doctor and seemingly well regarded by his peers as well – best of the best.

JC has a calm clear way of making you feel reassured. He was very attentive and listens when you want to speak. I never felt rushed or pressured by him. My case was complicated at Whipps in June 2016 and I truly feel he was the only one who made a difference to my care. He listened and had a great bedside manner. Funny enough this year Feb 2018 I’m seeing him again and it was lovely to meet with him. Once again he explained my scans, prognosis and future treatment very well and has stil got his wonderful smile and calming aura.

I met Dr JC WONG in June 2016 when I was an inpatient at Whipps. I saw him several times and cannot fault his manner and care. He was calm and polite. He listens well and has a fantastic and soothing bedside manner. Always respectful and empathetic which is so so important to patients especially in incredible pain and very frightened. My actual emergency surgery was performed by another fantastic team but I recommend JC to anyone facing gynaecological issues. Two years later I’ve been seen agian by him! Very pleased to see him for my current issues. He explained everything in detail from scans to possible treatment etc and I never felt rushed by him. Thoroughly good guy and dr.

I was put at complete ease by Dr Wong. He had read my medical notes and my scans before the appointment and explained in great detail the condition I have and the various options I have going forward explaining the pros and cons of each. He answered all my questions and at no time did I feel under any time pressure. I completely recommend this doctor.
