Dr.Jones took time to explain everything in detail about my options for anaesthetia. He gave me great confidence and put me totally at ease for my knee replacement surgery. I was adamant I wanted a general anaesthetic but after talking with Dr. Jones I went ahead with just a spinal block and sedation, which meant a speedier recovery. After the procedure, Dr. Jones was very attentive and caring. He explained all the medication fully. I sincerely hope I’m under his care for my second knee replacement surgery.

Hywel was great at making you feel completly comfortable an confident in his skills - His care through the operation made it a surprisingly enjoyable experience. I have no greater praise than to say I would hope Hywel would be my anaetheyist for any future surgery I require

After suffering complications as my anesthetic was being administered Dr. Jones provide exemplary care and great support to both me and my wife over the following 24 hours. When we attempted the procedure again he went to great lengths to ensure that he had checked all possibles causes, liaising with other consultants to check my full history and current medical condition. His whole approach was very reassuring. The operation was successfully completed with no complications, in no large part due to Dr Jones thoroughness and diligence.

Dr Jones was my anaesthetist during a recent knee replacement operation which was carried out under epidural type process. His preop explanation was comprehensive and thorough putting me completely at ease. My postop recovery was swift and comfortable and Dr Jones encouraged me to get considerable movement with the new knee despite the pain which my surgeon had briefed me would be present.
The whole experience would be difficult to improve on and Dr Jones could not have been more helpful and encouraging.
