Courtauld Ward Well I can’t thank them all enough for today I had to have a operation on foot and from start to finish they have all been amazing the care I have received has been 100% they put me at ease as was a bit scared of going under as never had operation before and nothing was to much to asked I can say if anyone needs to come here for anythink you will receive such lovely care and thank u all again

My daughter had an mri scan here in November 2022, the results of which were extremely important due to an ongoing neurological issue, we were told by the staff that anything concerning on this mri would be reported urgently, still no results by January 2023, my daughter was taken into hospital on 2nd of January unable to stand, she had brain surgery on 10th of January and the delay in her mri results are a direct consequence to the damage to her spinal cord, she needs extensive physio with no guarantee that she will get normal sensation in her legs again, obviously scan results aren't being looked at properly!

The registration and pre op forms were undertaken in a very friendly welcoming efficient & professional manner with great consideration given to any apprehension that I may have been suffering from. A great deal of time was given to the diligent way in which the procedure was explained complete with a 3D model. I felt I received a first class experience. From receiving the initial text inviting me to make an appointment to attending Braintree Community Hospital I felt well informed, cared for, looked after and advised way beyond my expectations. The only improvement that could be made at all, was of the 4 timely text messages I received, the last two could have reminded me to print off, complete and bring in the paperwork- As I wasted more of your time doing that then anything else! Sorry ! A huge thank you to all the staff I met you were brilliant.

The doctor did not really talk to me throughout the procedure. He has stated on the report that I was comfortable throughout when I was not. I was gagging throughout the entire procedure. I had to ask for sedation and was judged for that decision throughout. I was made to feel bad that they could not cannulate me. Was not told I couldn’t blow my nose in recovery and was shouted at when I did. Overall, really unimpressed with all of the team. As a nurse myself, I am aware of the importance of empathy in healthcare and I felt that not a single person on that day had any empathy skills. I was judged for my decisions and I feel the sedation i was given was not enough and as I felt no effect from it at all. I will never be going back to Braintree community hospital.

As always the staff were very good and helpful , I do believe that they do an excellent job under extreme pressure and I personally would like to thank everybody who work in the endoscopy unit
