Dr Fiona Jane Tsang-Wright wasn't my original Dr. The first time I met her was just before my surgery but straight away she made me feel very comfortable about everything that was going to happen. She explained everything perfectly and I had total confidence in her. On my surgery day I knew everything that was going to happen and was very relaxed.

I have now had three consultations with Fiona Tsang-Wright for breast cancer. From the outset she put me at ease and instilled confidence. She took time to explain everything in detail, drawing diagrams as necessary, and answered my questions. She is warm and friendly, efficient and professional - all the qualities one could wish for in a surgeon. I would add that everyone on her team is caring and compassionate. She will be performing my breast surgery together with another consultant surgeon and I have the utmost trust in her judgement and skill. I count myself fortunate to have Miss Tsang-Wright as my surgeon and have no hesitation in recommending her. Thank you, Miss Tsang-Wright!

Profile

Fiona is a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as well as in senior management as the Trust Cancer Clinical Lead. She is a committee member for the Association of Breast Surgery.

She has an expertise in managing breast diseases and breast cancer. All her clinics are set up with the best patient experience in mind: she will examine the patient and then arrange for imaging to be done at the same appointment (One-Stop Clinic) as she believes that this enables her to reassure her patients as quickly as possible, and reduce the anxiety of waiting for tests. Her feedback is positive and she is proud that she can make the experience of attending her clinic as pleasant and straight-forward as possible.

Fiona is involved in all aspects of a patient's treatment, and particularly in the management of breast cancer in younger women. She uses refined oncoplastic techniques to give women the increased possibility of conserving their natural breast or for those needing a mastectomy, she is an expert in immediate breast reconstructions using an implant to create a natural breast shape. She also liaises closely with consultant plastic surgeons for autologous reconstructions such as DIEP / LD.

Fiona has worked in different healthcare systems around the world and uses the experience gained in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai for the management of her patients in the UK. She has a demonstrable record in medical management at national, regional and local levels.

Fiona is dedicated to medical education and mentorship. She sits on the Oxford Regional Higher Surgery Training panel, is a final year examiner at the University of Oxford, an Associate Professor at the St George's University in Grenada, and teaches students from Oxford University and the University of Buckingham.

Fiona is a caring and empathetic breast surgeon who is keen to tailor and individualise the treatment of breast cancer to each of her patients.
