I have just returned home from minor surgery at Gosport War Memorial this morning, performed by Dr Christopher Heaton with the assistance of nurse, Helen. I found all the staff at the hospital very welcoming, professional and extremely helpful. Initially today, my previous treatment/diagnosis/surgery was discussed in detail with Dr Heaton, as was the further procedure needed today. During this procedure both doctor and nurse explained everything very clearly which enabled me to feel relaxed and happy about what was happening. There is always so much bad news regarding the NHS but I am a firm believer in taking things as I personally find them. My recent experiences have found all the Dermatology Team extremely professional, skilled and kind, so I finish with a HUGE thank you to you all!!

I have just returned from an appointment with Dr Heaton and Jess . Over the last three weeks since my original diagnosis l have been treated with patience , kindness ,and the treatment l have received has been excellent . When my body decided to react to the stitches and l rang them l was told to come straight in ….Dr Heaton made time in his very busy schedule to remove them for me ..and in the middle of covid ! A few days later when the internal stitches needed removing l was back in within 24 hrs the day before New Years Eve ! and the lovely nurses down stairs removed them for me .. I don’t believe l could have received better treatment if l had gone private .. We are so lucky to have our NHS and even in a pandemic ,when they are all severely overstretched they do an amazing job of being there for us when we need them .. So a big Thank you to Mr Heaton and his team

My 97 yr old Mum was due to have a lump on her face scraped off and quarterized. However when the Nurse looked at it she was not certain if that was the right procedure for it. She went and found Dr. Heaton who agreed with her and said that in his opinion the best course of treatment would be to cut it out and stitch it up. He asked my Mum if she would like him to proceed and she agreed so he rolled up his sleeves and got the job done quickly, efficiently and with very little discomfort for my Mum. Instead of a gaping great hole in the side of her face she now has a few dissolvable stitches. Job done! Very pleased with the whole team, nurses Emily and Alini for queering the original course of treatment and also with Dr. Heaton for being so decisive and taking the necessary action. Top marks to all three and I feel so lucky that my Mum was in such caring hands. Thank you one and all!

Reading through page upon page of reviews from patients that have been treated by Dr Heaton and all of the caring and friendly team at Block D St Mary's, I can see why they award them so many 5 stars. Surely they should be listed in the New Years Honours List! Peter and Sylvia Leversha

Dr. Heston explained the procedure, kept a dialogue during the process, and together with the practice nurse made the whole experience much easier for me as the patient. I congratulate them.
