We consulted Dr. Andrew Sawczenko for my son’s abdominal issues at Cromwell Hospital, and his care has been truly outstanding. Not only did he thoroughly investigate and address the abdominal concerns, but he also provided invaluable advice for my son’s overall well-being. Dr. Sawczenko is incredibly responsive—when he identified my son’s Vitamin D deficiency, he immediately contacted us with the results and provided clear guidance on how to address it. His prompt responses and attention to detail have given us great confidence and reassurance throughout this process. I highly recommend Dr. Sawczenko to other families and parents for his expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients.

I have been extremely happy for years after having found such a brilliant doctor. Dr Sawczenko has been our son's pediatrician since he was 3 years old. His has now turned 18 and we will miss being able to count on such an amazing doctor. Thank you Andrew for taking care of our son all these years. We wish you all the best. Andrea.

As parents we highly recommend Dr Sawczenko, we found him to be a fantastic paediatrician. His manner with us and in particular with our 6 year old son was superb and very reassuring. He listened to our concerns for our child’s health but more importantly spent time talking to our son about how he felt. Dr Sawczenko gave our son a very thorough medical examination from top to toe and ordered extensive blood tests. The results were communicated to us swiftly within 24 hours by him personally. His vast expertise in all areas of paediatrics, his kind manner and his excellent communication makes him our paediatrician of choice for our family going forwards.

I had seen GPs about a problem with my son's anus multiple times over a period of a few months with no resolution of the problem. I saw Dr Sawczenko and he immediately identified 2 likely causes. After a 10 day course of antibiotics my son's problem was finally treated! GPs had tried a number of different treatments without correctly identifying the cause of the problem so it was amazing how quickly and easily Dr Sawczenko identified the cause.

In search of a new paediatrician for my 3mo old son, I saw positive reviews about Dr Andrew Sawczenko and visited him this month for a general control and some questions about feeding/sleeping schedule. In all fairness, it very easy to book an appointment with him and he responded to my emails promptly. However, even though I assume he has great level of knowledge based on previous parent reviews, I personally do not recommend him due to his overall attitude. The most frustrating thing was I didn’t find his social skills particularly helpful and think his comments were inappropriate at times. For instance, he said my house would be 25C and very warm for the baby given my nationality, which isn’t the case at all and I wasn’t sure where this was coming from. At some point, he asked if I were relatives with my husband (I’d guess this was again based on his judgement about our nationalIty). When I said what he meant as I was shocked, he asked if we were cousins or something similar. This was a very weird question to receive as I have seen other paediatricians and none asked this type of question. Another example is on my baby’s body shape as he said he did have short legs possibly taking it from my side, narrower head taking from my husband and has small chin which shall grow in time etc. What’s the point of making such comments? I wouldn’t visit a paediatrician to get some prejudging views on these areas so I recommend him to speak on these only if there is a valid reason or concern.. Another thing that frustrated me was his guidance on starting solids with my baby at 4months going against the NHS advice. My son is exclusively breastfed, healthy and gaining weight so I wasn’t sure why he insisted on this subject. In summary, I don’t recommend him..
