Andrew has been wonderful through the whole process, any concerns or questions were addressed quickly and with great detail. Additionally, I felt very comfortable sharing all side effects and issues I was having which made it easier to find the right treatment for me. I felt heard and understood, I would recommend Andrew to friends and family as he made this whole process possible.

Response from Andrew Jay

It's only by telling the whole story that I can help to achieve the results that I do. Often the side effects are the clues we need to work out how to make things even better.

Andrew is an outstanding nurse prescriber who greatly exceeds expectations. I feel fortunate to have been under his care for my ADHD titration. He is consistently attentive, efficient, and detailed. He exudes an effortless professionalism alongside authentic warmth and sympathy in his communications. He exhibits sharp critical thinking and a mastery his field through his undoubtedly enormous knowledge, experience, and passion. Starting treatment for ADHD has been one of the most life-changing events in my life. It feels like having won the lottery, or rather, finding land after being long lost at sea. I'll be forever in debt to Andrew for his part in it. Again, very many thanks, Andrew.

Thank you for this feedback. I think I know who sent this response. It is always a privilege to walk a few steps with someone along a life's journey and there are some journeys that leave me reassured that the work makes a difference beyond my own high expectations. It is these journeys where I too learn and if I'm right I learned more about the value trust and communication from you than most. We took risks and they yielded the results you were looking for, but that is largely down to the efforts you made. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you.

Andrew is an absolutely amazing nurse, I couldn't recommend him enough. His ability to support me through my ADHD titration in such a caring, understanding and efficient way has had an enormously positive impact on my mental health. This attention to detail, professionalism and support was consistent throughout the entire process. Andrew has a deep knowledge of ADHD and mental health in general, which truly helped me learn and progress myself whilst navigating my challenging personal circumstances. I will always be thankful for the impact his care had on my life, and I'm sure any other patient under his care would feel the same way!

Excellent, timely and friendly communication. Even on a Bank Holiday! When you're used to being treated like 'just a number' by medical professionals all your life, it's incredibly refreshing to receive such an attentive, caring and personal service. I haven't once felt dismissed, ignored, a burden or like I don't matter and it's clear that Andrew is really keen to provide excellent patient care, as are other members of his team. I would (and do) highly recommend the whole Psychiatry UK NHS Right to Choose service to anyone who suspects they may be ADHD or Autistic - they don't treat NHS patients any differently to paying clients and that really matters.

Health Care should never leave you feeling like just a number. You can get that sort of care from a machine. I make every effort to treat each person as an individual, someone's child, someone who is cared about by others. It's my role to help you to find the place of treatment in your life, that can't be done if you have questions left unanswered. As for the Bank Holiday, I work when I can.

I was quite nervous to be starting medication but Andrew’s support and understanding made me feel a lot more comfortable during the entire process. Any questions I had, he would promptly answer them, so I really felt as though he understood my specific needs. Thank you so much Andrew!
