When you're old enough to be your clinician's mother and you have to tell him you can't keep your messy house clean and tidy, and you're forever apologising for interrupting people, it could be highly embarrassing for you. However, Andrew treated me with utmost respect and understanding, and what could've been a daunting experience was actually a pleasant one, even with moments of fun, thanks to his relaxed and friendly manner. And, as someone who normally avoids doctors much as I can get away with, and approaches the idea of taking medication with trepidation, I felt in very safe hands as Andrew guided me through the titration process.

Being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood then starting to take a medication that changes the way you are so used to your brain working is daunting to say the least, but with the help of Andrew Jay that was made so much easier. His genuine empathy for others is obvious and made what could have been a difficult experience so much easier. He clearly explains the why behind certain symptoms or behaviours and it led to so many eureka moments for me after a lifetime of thinking I was broken. More than once his kind words took me aback and I wouldn't be exaggerating to say have really changed the way I view myself and my ADHD-brain. Truly invaluable and a great credit to himself and his patients. Keep up the amazing, important work!

Andrew provided a great service. He really listened and guided me well through the assessment. The process was very timely which was good. At all stages Andrew was able to proved helpful guidance and insight into ADHD which was greatly appreciated.

Dr Jay has been my prescribing Dr for 17 while on titration. It has been a lengthy and challenging process to find the right meds and balance. Despite this, I could send frequent messages to him and he responded quickly. When I experienced side effects or problems, he explained things clearly and made suggestions. I requested certain changes and he was good at listening and flexible with trialling different doses or making changes. Overall, I can't recommend Dr Jay and Psychiatry UK highly enough for treating my adhd effectively. I've finally found medication that has been a game changer in managing the worst of adhd symptoms and I'm now much happier.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not a doctor I'm a specialist nurse but it was a pleasure to help you find a treatment that was right for you.
