I was initially admitted to the Emergency Department, following a large blood loss during the week. It was decided that I required a blood transfusion plus fluids and these were given throughout the evening. On completion I was transferred to Gogarth Ward. Whilst on the ward I asked to be taken to the toilet, this was done by one of the staff via a wheelchair, I was given instructions to return to the chair afterwards and wait for staff to return and take me back to my bed, this I did and I waited while looking at staff by Nursing Station. Nobody came to assist me back to bed bed so I eventually got out of the wheelchair and made my own way, not feeling well after the transfusion. During the early hours of the morning, around 6am, I began to feel anxious, difficulty breathing, I tried to find the call bell but was unable to do so during my distress, and the staff did not hear my calls. Two other patients eventually managed to alert staff to my condition, throughout the night no observations had been done to my knowledge. I was later informed that I had been rushed from Gogarth Ward to Coronary Care Unit, at this time I was totally unaware of what was happening to me and was trying to pull out all the needles and wires throwing blood every where, and desperately fighting to breath. Through the haze there was one Nurse looking after me, who I now know was the Ward Manager Susanne Kenyon, I could hear her talking to me and see her through the haze, slowly coming round. She looked after me and I think that she saved my life. I cannot thank her enough, she was my guardian angel, all the Nurses on the Coronary Care Unit where wonderful and could not do enough for the patients. I feel they all deserve a pay rise.

Tryfan angels. I have just been a patient on Tryfan ward. I am so sick of hearing about people complaining about the NHS, well let me tell you the staff are fantastic. They treated me with total respect, and any time I asked for painkillers they quickly brought them to me. The nurses I especially want to praise are Nerys and Alison, they should be given a pay rise, they are fantastic. The ward is managed by another superstar in Sister Joanne, she is caring and professional with patients, and all the staff seem to respect her. She heads a wonderful team, backed up by Great Doctors. Keep up the good work

I received fantastic care from the moment I went to A&E where I was treated by Dr Thomas and later the Coronary Care Unit. I received excellent treatment day and night from all the staff including Suzanne Kerry Dionne Bindu Gamma I then had successful angioplasty in Glan Clwyd and finally returned to Coventry on Tuesday. I would like to thank you all. If it was a hotel I'd come back next year. David Meakins &

I was admitted to tryfan ward with a gall bladder full of stones and a life threatening infection. There were many times when I would say my care was sub standard to say the least but to have nurses laughing at you because you have mental health issues is disgusting. I suppose the worst part of my care was when my wife caught a nurse and another member of staff trying to break into my locker!! I reported it to the police who are dealing with it and I also had a meeting with the chief executive of the hospital. Some parts of my care have improved but mainly it's the same, I can't wait to get out of this place. I have had 47 operations on my legs through my life but have never been treated like this. Best advice I can give is if you come into this hospital bring a lockable box from home for your belongings

In September 2016 I was admitted as an emergency patient to the cardiac ward under the expert care of Dr. Hanna and his team. I had a rare condition which was diagnosed and treated with great care and compassion. The nurses on the ward were dedicated and extremely hard working and went about their work with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. The nurses were extremely competent, compassionate and kind and certainly kept my spirits up. Thank you all so much.

My wife slipped and fell, turned out to be a fractured hip ! went straight into A&E then to X ray then had surgery then into Wards Conwy and Ogwen. The staff in each of the departments could not have been more friendly and helpful. The treatment she has received could NOT have been any better in the most expensive private hospital in the land ! A big thank you to the entire team !
