I was admitted to tryfan ward with a gall bladder full of stones and a life threatening infection. There were many times when I would say my care was sub standard to say the least but to have nurses laughing at you because you have mental health issues is disgusting. I suppose the worst part of my care was when my wife caught a nurse and another member of staff trying to break into my locker!!
I reported it to the police who are dealing with it and I also had a meeting with the chief executive of the hospital. Some parts of my care have improved but mainly it's the same, I can't wait to get out of this place.
I have had 47 operations on my legs through my life but have never been treated like this. Best advice I can give is if you come into this hospital bring a lockable box from home for your belongings
