Don't dish out appointments willy nilly for flu jabs and expect patients to join the end of a queue of 100 or so shuffling forward in the rain. Do man the phone on a Saturday rather than resort to emergency service recorded messages. Do try to be more accommodating at reception instead of handing out the number of a nurse who is based in Congleton who doesn't care a fig. Do have a greater selection of doctors to choose from for online appointments. It's always the same two. Follow the example of the on site pharmacist who has her own consulting room and will examine you at a moment's notice. Set up a 7-day service. Patients are not only sick between Monday and Friday however convenient that may be. There is a distinct lack of compassion and limited communication skills. If a doctor is running 20 minutes late, how about informing the patient?

Thank you for taking the time to let me know how we can do better in the future. I appreciate your thoughts. I will see what we can change to better support you. I think we can certainly do better on communicating to the waiting patients in the event of a GP or nurse running late due to an emergency. Thanks again for filling this in to ensure we receive your feedback. Tess Shaw

The reception staff are always very willing and able to help when I need a quick appointment for one of my two children. I really like how hard they work to find me a time. Also I want to say a big thanks to Dr Green who I know is on maternity leave at the moment for her kindness and flexibility when dealing with our family and our various ailments. If there was one thing I think the surgery could do better it would be to allow patients that live towards the South of Manchester, access to services there as it's closer and more convenient for us. I think some flexibility in where patients are sent should be considered.

Thank you for your kind comments about our services and your support. All patients usually have the choice via a system called choose and book where they may attend to obtain secondary services (hospital or other referral care). Please ask your clinician in the future if you have a particular location in mind for this to support you more Thanks for the feedback Tess Shaw Practice Manager

Get a landline-rated number reinstalled. It costs too much to call the surgery. That could be impacting your no-show statistics. I had registered for online booking but was not informed when it changed and now I have to take ID down to re-register. Too convoluted....

A landline local telephone number is on the way for 1st April 2015. I understand your frustration with the Online booking for your access to repeat prescriptions or online booking. I am sorry it has not been straight forward. If any personal data has changed for you this can sometimes cause errors, sometimes we have found administration errors have caused problems too. Please get in contact so we can iron out these for you. Thankyou for your feedback and we will try to do better following your suggestions Tess Shaw

A really pleasant environment; very efficient service - although I hope not to be back too often, it is a great place to be if you or your family aren't feeling so well! Excellent

I find it hard to get to surgery due to work and very little appointments available evenings, early mornings and weekends. they do try and accommodate telephone appointments which helps. Website doesn't currently allow me to request a repeat prescription electronically. This means the e-prescription service doesn't work as request has to be made by hand. obtaining blood results can be hard as asked to call a nurse during a 1/2 hour window when I'm unavailable and when I have managed to call I haven't got through successfully in the allocated time. would be really helpful if clinics used mostly by children (for example asthma) were arranged for when they can make it ie outside of school hours. I think there is some effort more recently to accommodate patients needs but a few small changes could make a huge difference. the care from the GPs I've seen more recently and nurses has been good. I like the way the nurses speak to children directly to involve them in being responsible for their own health care and checking they understand.

Thanks for your thoughtful and considered feedback. I am really keen to get these things right for the benefit of patients and parents. We do need to be more flexible for your needs. Just a couple of other thoughts. We do send results out via text messaging if we are given permission from a patient/carer. Also we do enable prescription to be done via the web site so this is working and available, so this is worth checking out.....I know it can be tricky to first set up sometimes but it is very slick. Also we have an alternative as is the new system of electronic prescriptions which can really help speed up a process....please ask if you need more information and we can send you the links or information leaflets thanks again Tess Shaw
