Supportive Surgery!!
I have been with Greenview over a year now and I would consider myself rather needy patient. I have a complex Medical History and I do require a lot of Medical reassurance. I often contact the practice sometimes daily and they are always there for me. No task or demand to much and I find the reception staff very friendly and have always helped me out.
They have always helped me and have been very supportive of me and my health anxieties. I never had an issue with access nor an issue seeing a Doctor face to face and considering Covid they still always been there of me and my family. There Doctors are fantastic and I feel that I have a good rapport with the surgery after being with a few in Kingsthorpe. I feel that they still have the old family Doctor ethic about them and the Doctors know their patients very well. Most likely the best Doctor Surgery I have ever had.
This surgery is despicable and just rapidly going downhill.
Horrible staff! I only gave one star because I had to or my review would no send. This place is a NO star service!
I saw a consultant in December who copied me into a letter he had sent out to my doctor at Greenview Surgery. My letter arrived early in January as I am sure was the same for the surgery. It gave instructions about a change to my prescription.
I sent a prescription request on MONDAY morning and then today, THURSDAY afternoon went to the chemist to pick up my prescription...there was nothing there for me. The surgery had not bothered to put my request through as they said they knew nothing about the change to my prescription so were not responding to my request. It is funny that I have a letter myself at home, a COPY of the letter that the Consultant had sent to both of us...but they refused to give me my prescription, even though it is the surgery that is at fault. They received the same letter from the hospital that I did!
I needed my prescription today, which I explained to the receptionist. She told me to scan my letter through to them. I did and asked that they let me know if my prescription would be at the chemist today (there was still time for them to put it through for me) but NO response from the surgery and I have NOT got my prescription! I ran out of what I requested today and my prescription should have been there for me to collect I have been left with no idea when it will be available for me to collect. The staff just can't be bothered.
Useless and ignorant!
I saw the doctor at 12pm because I am in a lot of pain and required antibiotics (which were prescribed during my appointment) and she told me that my prescription would be ready for me to collect at my local chemist. Naturally, due to the pain I am in, I went straight to pick up my antibiotics...and after waiting, in pain, for around 40 minutes...the chemist eventually told me that there was no prescription for me. I had to ring the surgery again and I explained to the receptionist that I was in pain and when could I have my prescription. She told me that I would have to wait until after 4pm?!! That I had to wait until the doctor signed off all the prescriptions for that afternoon. I have been in tears due to the pain and also hunger, as my throat is so swollen that I am having problems chewing/eating...it is now 1.30pm...and I am just sitting at home counting down the minutes until I can get my antibiotics. It's ridiculous! The surgery is really going downhill! Very unhelpful and lacking in empathy.
Thank you - from initial registration through to our Dr's telephone consultation. To text message prescription pick ups and follow up care - thank you.
Great, friendly, efficient and coping with the times we find ourselves in.
You have bumped my husband from your list...
He has Aspergers and has some unusual traits. You say he was being verbally aggressive, he was actually questioning and trying to get a STRAIGHT ANSWER as to why , when promised a call back in the morning, it never happened. He is still waiting for that call back.
Instead you send an abusive pack of lies letter because the poorly trained receptionist has no concept on how to deal with Aspergers in full meltdown.
If you tell an Aspergers sufferer you are doing something at a specific time..then you should honour that, they do not comprehend people lying to them.
From the outset you failed to set him up properly, you failed to get to grips with his repeat prescriptions and you failed to allow him access to on line services. It appears that you failed him from the outset, but your catalogue of errors and cock ups added fuel to the fire. One can only hope that the actual medical staff are not as careless. Incompetent and uncompassionate as your admin staff
You should be offering a full apology to him, and looking at his records for "stuff" not related to the treatment is a criminal offence. Your admin team have no right to trawl his notes for petty reasons to throw him off!!. In fact, at the other surgery he questioned whether a type of drug which can cause dementia was a suitable drug to give as his family on his mother's side all had dementia?
This is all that is wrong with the nhs and so called health professionals, you expect all patients to be saints and sit back and believe your word as gospel??? I speak from experience at the level of care and accurate diagnosis are all a bit of a lottery, but you cannot sit their in your tower of self importance and expect patients to behave like sheep.
If you want respect. Then clearly you need to sit back and look at the way you are behaving towards people. Your web site review are littered with people complaining about your receptionist. I think maybe it's time you sack your receptionist. As the job is way beyond her compassion
I don't expect a suitable response to this, but I may take your letter and this complaint further.
Fyi...there is some great Aspergers and autism literature available, may I suggest that you invest in some as the receptionist may find these helpful.
